Would you join the army?...If?

Explore all opportunities and if you feel the Army would best give you the job you desire then absolutely go for it. I came in the Army with my Bachelors, which the Army paid off. I've gotten to do what I want for a living and enjoyed my entire 12 years in the Army as well as gotten to earn my Masters degree. My wife is also in the Army and currently holds a Masters in Nursing...which the Army paid for.

To the guy that thinks the Air Force has a better class of people...you've obviously never done ANY form of research concerning any of the branches...idiot.

Erm, to be honest it doesn't sound like it's for you. For multiple reasons, being:

You haven't gone back to uni, that doesn't look good at all on an application (and for the ice breaker when you have to talk about why you want to join the army) that and that fact that if you can't complete your uni courses, it doesn't really show determination and whatever else which is very much needed in the armed forces.

If you're looking at it because you don't have anything else... then I really wouldn't bother, remembering it's a 4 year contract at a minimum

Oh and remember it could take 6 months to get in...

It's difficult to tell you on here what is the best way ahead for you. You really must seek advice from the army recruiting office on your high street. They will tell you very quickly if they want you or not by asking you some basic questions. You are only going to get duff gen on here.

You may well find that the army do not want you! Believe it or not, all the UK armed forces don't just take anybody you know. Gone is the myth where it used to be easy to actually join.

In any case, you might find it unsuitable for you.

Ive personally wanted to join the army since i was 3 and my dad,uncle,great uncle and grandad all served with the british armed forces i supose its in your blood partly. I suggest you look into it and if it seems right go for it.You dont have to fight if you dont want to you could join as a chef, musician or with the medical corps.

In my opinion this is what you shoul do
Go on army jobs.mod and have a look at the jobs that catch your eye
Go to your local army advice center
Do your entry test see what jobs you qualify for
If you want to join as whatever you feel right
Then do 3 years and save up enough to pay for uni
You will come out be more respecteded, travelled, with great mates and lets face it your not getting experiece like you gain from the army anywere else

i think it would not creat oppourtunity great reason the persons who need to be employed they could not reach the requirements which they wanted before imaginig the single persons who want to join the army forces their this purpose is foolish for your delusions which would be wanted to take place on their dreams i imply that the soldiers who are not married they can not earn much amounth money they required to set up the opinionsmy advice is unless you marry you can not get your wish into the brain the fact which was important that

Well... its up to you mate... If you are ready to die for your country and people living in then YES go for it... Army gives u oportunity to do something useful not only for you family but for your country. You can even try oficer university and stay in army longer...

I personally didn't joined army even when i was in similar situation to yours, I emigrated...

The Army and other military forces should be left to those passionate about it. If you had practical qualifications or a second language then it'd be ok but I'd hate to think you're joining just because employment is tight and Uni's isn't working out as planned!
