I have what your looking for, and you're just the right age to start.
The Civil Air Patrol (CAP)

It's better than air force jrotc because you actually do things. not march around all day. You get the benefits of a jrotc and a cadet program.
You also get ranks as you pass tests.
Work hard and you will advance in rank, as you will gain more of a leadership role.

In GA, there is a Marine base with a program called the Young Marines for middle school kids. After that it's the JROTC in high school. I'm sure other bases may have something similar. Ask your parents to take you to see a recruiter, and they can tell you if they have something in your area. |

No there is no military for kids.
For this exact reason.
Joining the military isn't explosions, *** kickery and one liners. One minute you're riding in the Humvee, the next minute you are missing your face from an IED, but you are still alive and you have to keep living your life, looking like a monster.
Mom can't look you in the eye, girlfriend leaves you for a normal looking fellow, and you sit in a room on a lazyboy, living off soup (you have no teeth) and wishing that shrapnel went for your skull... |

Does your school offer J.R.O.T.C (Junior Reserves Officer Training Corp) I did 3 and a half years of army J.R.O.T.C at my school and loved it. They teach you all sorts of useful things, there is a summer camp you can go to to earn higher rank, and at my school we also marched in parades. It was a lot of fun. |

Try going to a camp or something. When I was around your age I used to go to "ropes camp" where we would do a bunch of stuff like you see on the amazing race. |
