good answer above on off duty education, but also remember, you can take pace courses while out to sea, and on line college courses also. Good luck on both SWCC and school. |

YES! Use your off duty time to study, classroom or online courses!
It might take you more than 4 years to earn your BA/BS degree, but, it will be all worth it!

It is more than possible even while deployed, as long as you have an active and reliable internet connection. Our unit was aviation (lots of free time) so there were a few of the guys working towards their bachelors through online courses. Just go speak to your education center on post. Easy as that. |

you can attend classes during your off duty time, but it'll be really hard since you're probably going to be deployed many months at a time which can wipe out a whole year of schooling for you. |
