I do buy things online and yes it is safe. :) |

My mom buys things online all of the time. Just be careful, and if you can, call them to make your purchase. If they do not have a phone number, I would not buy from that web page. Good luck!!!
I also know someone who has had their identity stolen from buying things online. Just be careful, and if it is too good to be true, it most likely is. |

Absolutely I buy online alot! The key is to check for the secure site lock! Most sites will tell you about it and most computers give u a pop up to let u know the site isn't secure! But just look at the little bar at the bottom of your window and if it has a gold little lock on the bar you are good to go. Also most credit card grant you security even if the site does not! Happy Shopping!!! |

I purchase stuff on line occasionally and book all of my airline tickets on line. Just use common sense on what personal information you give out. |

Yes. I've bought several things on-line including, an electric scooter. Check the bottom of the page for safe icon. If the web page doesn't have one, then don't. |

It definatly depends on the website. Websites such as ebay or amazon are normally safe and no problems ovvur. However, depending on the seller and the item you defiantly have to take time to check up on who is selling. You should keep in mind that no matter the website, find out where and who you are buying your item from. Just remember to be careful and know who is your seller. |

It is safe if you stick to credible web sites like e Bay, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and many other national or international public companies. They cannot afford to risk thier reputation with weak security procedues and systems. |

Yep. I actually just bought 4 things off of eBay in the last 2 weeks or so.
-Nintendo Wii (Brand New)
-Guitar Hero
-Guitar for Guitar Hero
-Wii Remote Skins
So basically I purchased from 4 different people, paid a total of about $400, and everything came to me brand new and in mint condition. No complaints here and I would do it again in a heartbeat!
Plus Amazon.com is an excellent source for buying textbooks for college and a variety of other things online (without the auction like eBay has). Most store sites are secured and I've also made purchases on Victoriassecret.com and some other store sites! Good luck :) |

I buy on line all the time and I work in fraud prevention..... Beleive me... if you are worried about someone hacking into your computer to steal your info -- it's a joke...
The crooks are profesionals and could care less about your personal info. They hack into much larger companies where they can steal a thousands of credit card numbers.. and it makes no difference if you buy on line or go right to the store... Most cash registers send/receive info wirelessly to the main servers and all that info is downloaded to the banks wirelessly --- And unless the company is very hightech the crooks can get at that info...
If you dont beleive me just google the words "Skimmed Visa" or "Dumped Mastercard"... Pull up any site that comes up and you can see for yourself just how easy the crooks have access to stolen credit card numbers.... they are selling stolen credit card info for $5
It's just a matter of time before everyone gets their ID stolen.... Regardless of where you shop. |

Of course. Don't you?
I buy books, electronics, shoes, cameras and anything else that is an advantage to buy on line.
There is no reason not to. What's not to be safe? Can't have an accident in the parking lot! |

It depends on the site to be honest, but even the most secure sites like Ebay arent so safe, i got ripped off 900 dollars, and a very nice phone on ebay so just be careful... |

Depends on what site or person your buying it from. If its eBay or one of the more popular sites like Amazon Its fine because they have all new security and stuff but if its someone your don't fully trust i wouldn't take the risk. |

If you are using a protected site such as paypal. Being careful with what information you are providing. I have purchased many items online and have not had a problem. |

I buy most of my things online, convenient for the shipping (amazon), and u get better deals also. If u are worried about using your credit card, use your computer, preferably with a firewall. so nobody can hack in, and use popular store (amazon, paypal) because you can check their refund policy. |
|

Dani

yeah if you go through a reputible source. |
