I'm a CPS social worker so I can say absolutely - you did not not get adopted because of anything to do with you!! You may have had some issues (depending on why you were removed) or maybe you were an older child when removed (which are harder to place) or maybe the social worker didn't work hard enough at finding you a permanent home. But the bottom line is that sadly there aren't always enough adoptive homes for the children that need them.
The writer of the e-mail is obviously a wack job. Don't pay any attention to it. Chances are, he/she is trying to provoke a response so don't give him/her the satisfaction. As for claiming God didn't want you to be adopted - that the most moronic thing I've ever heard. |

Lots of kids don't get adopted because either the Adopters want young babies or theres a load of legal complications with older kids.,..

There are lunatics everywhere, please don't take this sort of rubbish to heart as this person is obviously very bitter and has chosen to take his/her wrath and poison out on you.
God doesn't play stupid games like this. He gives human beings free will to do as we please and so it has nothing to do with being good enough or deserving enough. Bad things happen to good people every day... sadly, thats life. People like this just add to the bad things happening as whoever they are, they are lashing out and hurting others and that is bad!
Anyway, delete the stupid email and try to focus on something else. I know its hard not to keep seeing the words in your head but keep in mind the person who wrote it is pathetic, angry and maybe also hurting and you were the person they chose to lash out at.

There is not enough credible information here for me to form a valid observation.It seems the person who wrote this has some self-righteous idea of particualrs in your life which they have no first-hand knowledge of other than a question you once asked.
Besides that, the person sounds like someone who continually blames God for human problems. God NEVER causes human suffering, we do that enough ourselves. God provides us opportunities in the situations in our lives which we bring about or which others bring about for us.I would pray for this poor, deluded soul. |

As much as I respect people every religion, people like this certainly give their religion a bad name!
To be honest I wouldn't reply. The person is almost certainly only trying to get a rise out of you, and whatever you say to them, however cool and collected, will mean they've achieved this. It's like going back to school days - if you said nothing to the schoolyard bully they always got wound up and frustrated when they couldn't pick a fight.
You know you're better than this person, and anybody with a head on their shoulders knows the same. Nothing you can say to them will change their views. They are the ones that will lose out at the end of the day. Try not to let it get to you.
The only thing I would possibly do is go through the motions of reporting it to Yahoo, but to be honest I've had emails even worse than this in the past which I've reported and never heard anything about, so it might be a pointless task sadly. |

By not responding you are sending a louder and clearer message that these types of people are not true Christians, and further there are so many reasons kids do not get adopted, one is money..My husband and I would have liked to adopt and older child 11-18 but money is an important issue when it comes to adopting. The system is not great or even good. Do not give this person any credence they are the ones who need cleansing they sound miserable as a person and just worse as a Christian!

Regardless of someones views on the subject of adoption, there is no need for any message as inconsiderate and wrong as that. I wouldn't even have bothered with the cut and paste. I would have gone straight to the delete key.

Dear L T,
I am very sorry someone sent you that hateful email.
Every child deserves a good childhood. Adoption is no guarantee of that. The fact that you did not have a good childhood is in an indication that society failed you. It was not your fault. Society fails many children in foster care by overlooking them in their rush to find newborn babies.
In a better world, children would be able to stay with their families and not have to deal with foster care or adoption. I know you work very hard to improve the lives of other children, L T, so they will not suffer as much as you did. You are making a difference, and I commend you for that.
I concur with the other posters who advised you to ignore such email.
