200 questions to get your first british passport?

Hi,
I was born in the UK but i was raised in Italy where a live since i was 2. I want to apply for my first british passport in the the British Embassy of Florence. I've heard that know they will make you do an interview asking you many things, the telegraph says even 200 questions:
here http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1546209/Potential-passport-interview-questions.html there are a few examples. My question is: are they really gonna ask you 200 questions? Have you got any other examples besides the ones in the link above? I live in Italy, not in the Uk, is this an issue? I obviously don't have an National Insurance number (actually i don't even know what it really is but i can imagine), what i supposed to tell the guy? The registration number of your family car is the number plate of my car o something else and i don't think i can remember it (you does really care)? What is the occupation of the person who countersigned your application, who is he and how the hell i supposed to know? What is the sort code of your bank, what? Do they mean my current account number (i hope not)?
Somebody who has already been throw this please advise me, i'll be very glad.
Additional Details
Ok, it's my faught for asking here, i must admit it, but lets face it, i was only actually asking for possibly somebody who already had faced the interview if he could give other examples besides the questions reported in the website, that was it. I didn't know that i had to countersign the application, i've read only now in another source that he must be living in the uk, knowing me at least for 2 years and not related to me (i've got many cousins there but nobody not related). I just was wondering why they would ask me things like the number plate of my car and about not having a NI, if it would just be fine to tell them that i obviously don't have one, and about the bank thing what it was, just this. For the question why i'd like to obtain a British passport the answers is because i'm entitled to, not fare enough? But don't worry, i decided i won't for now because i don't know nobody in the UK that is entitled to countersign my form. New Labour Voter: what are talking about?

You can apply for British citizenship if you were born in the UK; and one of your parents was a British citizen, or a parent with 'settled status'

probably easier to get an Italian passport then , is all the aggro worth it ??

Sui Cida
How: He was born in the UK
Why: why not?

I mean, what's all the fuss about? Maybe because he's italian?

You will find it a piece of piss other than you will know how to claim benefits.

Your English ability better than mine, as I said your short falling will be what benefits you can claim.

The official information is that the interview should take about 30 minutes and NO WAY are they going to be able to ask 200 questions in that time. I don't see where in that Telegraph article that 200 questions are even mentioned.

The point of the interview is to verify that you are who you say you are by asking things that nobody else would know about you. Obviously you won't get asked for your NI number - some of those questions would only apply to people who live in the UK, and you don't.

The countersignatory doesn't have to be living in the UK, or else no British citizen living outside the UK would be able to get a passport. Ideally it should be a British citizen who is some kind of professional person, but if you don't know one, an Italian with the same kind of status will be acceptable. This is made clear in the guidance notes that come with the application form http://ukinfrance.fco.gov.uk/en/help-for-british-nationals/passports/passport-forms

It's a good idea to rely only on official sources, such as the actual British Embassy in Italy web site, which will lead you to here http://ukinfrance.fco.gov.uk/en/help-for-british-nationals/passports/ and not trust whatever else you may have read, which is very possibly misleading.

It's an identity interview to confirm that you are who you say you are. The purpose is to prevent passport fraud. None of those questions should tax you if you are British or want to be.

A NI number is a number you need before you can work in the UK. You will have to undergo another evidence of Identity interview to get one.

Yes the reg no is the number on your number plate, pretty obvious.

If you don't know who your counter signatory is or their occupation or how long they have known you, you will definitely get refused a passport and probably arrested for fraud. Passport fraud could quite easily get you barred from Britain as an undesirable irregardless of the EU. It is also a criminal offence for a counter signatory to sign a passport application for someone he does not know.

A bank sort code is the six number code that identifies which bank and which branch holds your account. Do you seriously think they will ask someone who has never lived in the UK a question like this?

I suggest you take it all a bit more seriously and understand exactly what you are putting on your application or you'll find yourself in trouble or at the very least without a British passport.
