I got my first passport a few months ago. I had to have my birth certificate , my mum and dad's marriage certificate and 2 photos of myself.
After that it gets easier!

My fiancee is from the UK and is over here in America on a green card, but we had to update his passport so that we could go to England, and they required his birth certificate, his mother and father's birth certificate, and their marriage certificate. They also required with the new photo that an official that knew him had to sign the back of the photo stating that it was in true likeness of him. and how long they knew him.

I'm in the US but we need a birth certificate, and you'll probably have to purchase a photo id. Call the DMV and ask how much it costs to get one. Or call the post office and ask what all they require for a passport.

you need to take some pictures, passport size. and go to someone official, like a teacher of yours, or your doctor and have them sign the back to say it's you.

you will also need the bank statement to say that you live were you say, and birth certificate.

not sure if you still can but you can get the passport form from the post office and it should have all the requirements on there.

go all the way to the bottom and it tells you what you need.

make sure that when you take the pictures that nothing covers your face. you cant have a fringe or the pictures will be rejected. no makeup no glasses.

and when you pay, i think you either have to use a cheque or postal orders.

on the back, if they dont know what to write on the picture, i think they have to write ' I confirm that these are a accurate representation of the applicant' then sign/name.
