I'm Irish my wife Polish living in UK. My son born in uk 07/11/2008 what passpport can I apply for him ?

We live here in the UK permanently so a british passport would be handy.

If he was born here in UK, he will be a British citizen, so British passport will be easily acquired

if your son was born here then i would imagine a british passport.

Well I think the best thing to do is to apply for a British passport as it will be much more beneficial in the long run. My meaning exactly is that your son would be welcomed in most countries with a British passport and if he wants to go to Poland someday he has to apply for a visa for the stay there so that could be a downfall but if his life is pretty much going to be here in England then your family is better off applying for a British passport.

Your son is a British citizen if he was born and Britain and at least one of his parents were 'settled here' at the time so I assume that applies. Even if you can't get British citizenship, though, he will have no problem living here as long as he is an EU citizen.

Our family have the same as you. We are Spanish/UK. You can apply for a UK passport for him, as you are resident in the UK, but if you go to Poland apply for a Polish one too so he has the benefits of both countries.
