I'm getting married in may and what it is i've booked a holiday in my own surname will it matter if I don't change my passport into my married name?

No, as plenty of women keep their original surname after marriage. The most important thing is that the passport is in the same name as your ticket. You'll have real problems if it isn't, as the obvious thing that will happen is that the passport will obviously be yours because you look like the photograph, but the ticket is in a different name so it's not your ticket, right? There will be no way you can prove it IS your ticket to the satisfaction of the authorities. |

Getting married is one of the few occaisions when you can get a passport issued in your married name before your name changes...
however, if you have now booked and confirmed your holiday, you may have no choice
Name changes especially for tickets are not usually possible once issued.
AND if you have had to get any visa's... then it will really complicate things..
People may have as many names as they like, and passports to match,
however it is not encouraged, and they may not be used for fraudulent purposes.
what matters is that you use the same passport name as the ticket
and these days (for those with more than one passport/nationality) start and end the journey with the same passport or clearly explain with proof of being the same person, why not.

Your passport and ticket have to been in the same name. When you return you can change your passport and use your married name if you wish. Hope the wedding goes well and you have a lovely honeymoon x |

You just need to be sure your passport and ticket are in the same name AFTER you return , you can change your name on your passport and other forms of I.D. |
