You are headed for a life if misery & torture. If you are mentally challenged-I beg you not to do this.Do you not read the papers or watch the news?If so, go ahead, sign your life away to a 3rd world country. I have visited that place--never again, even if they gave me a deed to the place. They walk around with assualt rifles & guns & will shoot & kill you if you look at them the wrong way-or if you look some of them in the eye. |

why don't you go to the Pakistani embassy and ask them? Don't horse around with the Pakistan government. They will make it very tough for you. They aren't America. |

Simply issue a round trip ticket and after you get the visa Refund the entire ticket or the return portion of it.
Hope this works >.. |

PLEASE ensure that you convince the Pakis not to stamp your visa. If there is a Paki immigration stamp on a VISA it is blacklisted and kept under a secret scrutiny list by Israel and many of the Western governments.
This is done as it is an open secret in all government corridors that all terrorist organsations have their bases in pakistan and any visit to pakistan is thought to be a visit for arms trainings and since this is true for most of the cases, even if your intentions are clear - i am sure you will not like someoine on a plane or any airport keeping an eye on you for the rest of your life !!!!
You are warned !!! |

I think pakistan has changed it's visa policy very recently like last week. and now they have a list of 20 or so countries whose citizens dont require a visa and they will get it on arrival. why dont you call the embassy or counslate near you and find out.American citizens can go anywhere in the world without a visa and get it on arrival and stay there for 6 months before that expires.
when you get to pakistan you can contact foreign office and show proof of marriage and get your visa status changed.
i hope this helps.
TO ALL PEOPLE MAKING COMMENTS ABOUT PAKISTAN:
I am a paksitani and living in pakistan with a pakistan husband. Dont be stereotypes and believe all you read in papers. there are good and bad everywhere. getting married is a gamble and sometimes people lose regardless of which national they have married. NOT ALL PAKISTANI MALES are as you people are describing here. Just like there are dominating males in western world same is true for pakistan. It's only because media captures stories about the bad guys doesnt make the whole nation bad. so please get your facts straight before making nasty comments like that. |

It is not clear to me, just who you are marrying. Is he Pakistani? Are you American? If this is the case, did you meet him in America? If it is, you may well find your fiance when in Pakistan is not the `same` with you as he was in America You have privilege of growing up knowing you are the equal of men. This is not so in Pakistan, you will have little statue as a foreign woman, . Please take advice from someone who has had this experience, think again, please. Love does not conquer all. |

Presumably you will have a ticket to a third country. That should suffice.
Many years ago I got a Pakistan visa by proving that I held a UATP (airline credit) card that in a letter Pakistan Int'l Airways affirmed they would honour. |
