Why are America handling the Falklands situation badly?

OK, so America wanted countries to have self-determination, all the people in the Falklands want to be ruled by Britain, Now Hilary Clinton and Obama think they have the right to force the UK into talks with Argentina. WHY? It never belonged to the Argentines. Hilary Clinton has shown she is a bully, and proves that unlike her husband, she has no knowledge on politics.
Clinton is clearly jealous of Thatcher, and so she is trying to over-rule the war she won in the 80s.
Obama was backed by millions of UK residents and he turns his back on them that easily.

The countries down that way have formed a 'United States of South America' so when they go to the UN for 'take-over' approval (Falklands+Gas+Oil) they all speak as one voice - not just a lone country (Argentina) making speeches (sour grapes) about there claims.

America has seen the advantages of aligning themselves with those countries and therefore gives support as to its intentions. This so-called 'special friendship' the UK had with the US is long gone - the US now seeing the UK as a 'defunct' country controlled by the EU - who the US dislike and all it stands for - so they are seeking new alliances elsewhere.......there - thats it in a nut shell.!!

I wouldnt worry to much about it, as Obamas not the type of leader to start throwing his waight around with out good reason, if it was Bush it would be a different matter one sniff of oil and he is like a ***** on heat haha,

the Falklands have been ruled by Britain since the 1830s now that there is oil the want it back now,
the Argies only went to war in 1982 because the Government wanted to distract its people from how sh it the economy was, and when Britain won the falklands it lead to the end of the military dictatorship in argintina so we did them a favour by claiming our sheep back,

As for the Americans well i recon they will sit on the fence as the dont want to damage relations in South America and they wouldnt want to damage relations with the UK because at the end of the day we will probably be the ones who gets dibs on the oil if its there now im sure the Americans would like a little slice of our pie that we are baking.

America are not forcing anyone into talks. America knows that the UK can handle it's own problems. If this does lead to another war between UK and Argentina, the US would back the UK with military help if they asked for it.

I doubt it will lead to war though, Argentina won't make that mistake again.

America should keep its nose out of the politics of other countries. The UK have already dealt with Argentina once and can do it again if necessary. America has only got interested because of the oil they couldn't give a toss about it before!

We are big enough to look after ourselves. I would be more worried if I were American, he seems to be ready to appease anyone at the present moment at the expense of their true allies.
