I'm probably way off base here - But I can remember when a British Passport was a Document of some weight.
It was approx 6"x4" embossed in Guilt on a dark blue background and carried with it an implied respect that was recognised and respected (and may I add abused at your peril.). It got my Family to S. Africa during trouble in Zambia.
Today we are blessed with a Tallymans notebook - hi -tech computer coding that leaves you in limbo - even if you were born here.

A passport is a passport, a USA passport gets you into more nations, but a uk pass is almost the same.
An Irish passport is better protection against terrorists though. No one hates the Irish except other Irish. The US UK and Israeli passports go in one pile when they take hostages, the Irish ones go in another, |
