As long as they like, to renew their passport they just have to contact their local British consulate. It's always good to know you can go home whenever you like. |

You can stay outside of U.K as long as you want: Until Britain stops making ships. I hope u know what i mean lol |

As long as you want, depending on how long your visa to a specific country will allow it. There's no law keeping you in the UK, but foreign laws may prevent you from staying somewhere for too long. Do some research on the country you're expecting to travel to. |

If you never step foot inside the UK again, you would still retain your British citizenship. Unless you formally renounced it at a British consulate in whatever country you obtained a second citizenship in.
Even if your British passport expires, that does not mean your citizenship has expired. Not to mention you can have your British passport renewed in just about any country on Earth. You do not have to be in the UK to get this done.
