What a difficult question. Both countries have so much to see and do. Both countries have dynamic young populations. Both countries have great food.

Why not go to the Himalayas and do both? You'll be on top of the world.

Since your question comes under Politics & Government, I guess you're asking about those. As the two most populous countries, they're also the most complicated politically. Anyone who offers a simple answer isn't responding reasonably.

Personally I rate countries by how well they manage human rights. On that score India may do better than China, in that China's death penalty record is atrocious -- almost as bad as Texas, per capita. But India doesn't exactly treat its lowest castes and women very well.
