We really dont need the people from Mexico. They are just here. If they want to come over and work for pratically no money, then why should we say thank you? They only fill up our schools, emergency rooms, and jails. The LEGAL citizens of America are PAYING for the Illegal Mexicans to be here. So they should be saying THANK YOU TO US!!! They can say thank you by leaving. That goes for ALL illegal immigrants!

I don't think that the US owes anyone a thank you. People from around the world owe us a thank you. We allow people to come here and get decent paying jobs to better their standard of living. No one "thanked" my great grandparents for coming here and working. They did it because, for all of our problems , America is still the dream for the rest of the world. It is not a racist thing, as so many want to make it. I believe that it is the idea of people doing something illegal and getting away with it,with little or no punishment that upsets alot of people. I for one love to visit Mexico. It is a beautiful place with some great people. It would be nice if the Gov't there would fix the things there for the Mexicans.

What a totally bizarre question! I hold no breif with legal aliens but too many people are forgetting the meaning of the word 'illegal'.
If any thanks are warranted it's obvious who should be doing the thanking - all who are enjoying the benefits of life in the USA.
Here are a couple of 'Thank Yous':
1. To Mexico for any more illegals that don't escape to the US in the immediate future
2. To all Americans in high office who prioritize securing our borders above 'dealing with' immigrants - legal or illegal.

Certainly not trying to defend him... but even Bush appears to have recently said the following: "Over the generations, we have received energetic, ambitious, optimistic people from all over the world ... our country is a welcoming society. America is a stronger and better nation because of the hard work and faith and the entrepreneurial spirit of immigrants." That's almost like a "thank you"

Is Mexico ever going to thank the US for helping it's economy grow? If it weren't for the US Mexico would be a thrid world country. We bring our buisness' there, travel there, and trade goods. Why the hell don't mexicans stand up and take control of their country. Why does the US have to hold their hand and support them?

is Mexico gonna thank the US for providing jobs that should go to it's residents, for getting free health care while the poor here have to pay, for welfare, and all the lovely things they don't get in their own countries.... thank you to them for making things cheaper for us to buy..... but not for the trouble they cause...... I have to question that question....Thank you for the hard work? Like legal American Citizens don't work hard? I've been working since I was 14 years old, paying taxes, having Social Security taken out of my check...I have to wonder now how many illegal immigrants (not just Mexican) may have started utilizing my social security number, who has stolen my identity. We all work hard. I work 40 hours plus a week, do my own laundry, cleaning, mowing, yard work etc....I have raised a family, supported ill family members, and still did everything within the limits of the Laws of our Country. If all of the "hard workers" put as much effort into turning their own country around, marched on their government and DEMANDED the rights they Demand from my Country, I might have a bit more respect. Thank you for breaking laws? I don't think so. And as mentioned before, how about the "hard work" other immigrants have done to survive? How about the hard work other immigrants have undertaken, and still went about it legally and through the proper channels.

THANK YOU MEXICO!!!!Especially for the guy who rides the bike down my street and sells me a paleta,and the woman who makes my nachos and fruit cups at the Paleteria.And the guys who work in my favorite Mexican restaurant.I truly,truly appreciate them,and all the others who come here to make a better life for themselves.
