It depends on the law for the particular state. Many states now have a full, but graduated license in place, restricted to certain conditions and/or hours. Put "State name" DMW into a search engine to find your rules. At 18 of course you can get an unrestricted license. |

This varies by state. My youngest child got his permit a couple of years ago at 15. He had to drive with use for six months and then he got the permit. When he turned 16 he was allowed to drive by himself. |

Really depends on your state? Most states you have to hold a permit for a certain time. In FL. the requirements:
Be at least 15 years old.
Pass vision, road signs and road rules tests.
Have the signature of one parent (or guardian) on the consent form if under age 18.
Completion of Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Education Course.
Two forms of identification
Social Security Number.
Must be in compliance with school attendance. |

Usually you cannot get a license until your 16. Different states have different guidelines. The best answer for your question is to call the Division of Motor Vehicles, Driver's License sector in your state. |

Depending on your state, you can get a driver's license at age 16, but you must first pass the tests and that license can be revoked by parents up to the age of 18. |

In South Carolina it is 16 and a half if you have no accidents they send you a waiver to drive alone all the time. But if you do, it is 17 before your restricted license turns into a normal. Each state has a different policy. You could check the DMV website for the rules in your state. Good Luck! |

You only have to be 16 to get your drivers license. BUT if you are under the age of 18 than you have to have you're temps for 6 months. They allow you to have your temps at 15 ans a half so when you turn 16 you can get you're license immediately. |
