How do I get my P plates?

I'm in ACT and just got here from overseas. I'm 17 and don't have my L's. How do I get my P's since I'm 17 years old? Do I still need to get my P's? What do I dooo?

Get your L's first, you have to have them for at least 6 months, before you can get your red P's, which you have to have for at least a year, before you get your green P's, which you have to have for at least two years before advancing to your full licence. Go to your nearest RTA.

Lol.. u need to get your L's, "Do i still need to get my P's"??, still need to get them..... so u can get more P's???????
