Be calm and confident. You have to be in a good mode - eat some fruits and dark chocolate before your driving test, if they likes you.
Your instructor knows what you can, but you know that better than him.
Have faith. You will be fine. |

It is absolutely nerve racking,i can sympathise with you ,
just keep saying to yourself worse things happen than failing a driving test,
you've only got to concentrate for half hour or so try take it in your stride you'll gain experience one way or another.
Good Luck , just go for it , if you fail you can do it again its not life or death is it , its a test at the end of the day ,nothing to get worked up about. |

No matter what you do, if you're the nervous sort, you can't do anything about it. Just be yourself, do your best and hope it works out. These examiners are professionals, they are used to people being nervous. They won't hold that against you, and you do get allowed minor mistakes. Tests are much harder nowadays than they used to be, so I wish you the very best of luck. Just do as your instructor tells you to do, and you can't go far wrong. |

I failed my driving exam 3 times. I know I am a good driver but if these MF wants to fail you they will. They took me on hills and all odd places despite the guy knowing I drive good he still took me in challenges situation knowing that I would flop soon or later as I am not an experienced driver but I can drive good, better than some people out there. So gurl all I have to say is good luck as beside been a good driver you have to be lucky. |

I took FIVE goes, the problem on many was that I'd get flustered if i thought I messed up and then that would cause me to fail... often when I thought I had failed something, I was wrong. just go in, with an open mind... and don't worry if you don't pass... |

Have faith in yourself!! I was so nervous but I passed first time (about 2 months ago now) your instructor wouldn't have put you in for the test if you weren't ready for it because they know it can be destroying if you do fail and it makes them look bad. I have always been told you haev to eat a banana before your test - I did this even though I don't really believe in stuff like that. kalms or rescue remedy can help if you're going to get all worked up but just relax! you can do it!!! |

drink plenty of water and remeber to relieve yourself before you go
make sure your not tired
having the window slightly open for some fresh air usually helps
dont be too hesitant, and if you make a mistake, try to correct it before your examiner has to intervene
all the best! |

I passed first time. Just know your theory in and out, do what you normally do the night before and on the day don't study at all. If your mind starts thinking about it, distract it with something else. Then say an hour before you leave do some good study over the stuff you found hardest to remember- get a friend to ask you the questions.
PS- Be friendly but not overly friendly with the instructor. A lot of them prefer to be formal. |

the worst case scenario is that you can fail your test and if so you will fail on something you are not good at.! If you dont know it by now you will have to know it next time.
just go for it. |

just imagine your haveing a driving lesson with another instructer, see if you can one lesson with another instructer before your test and it will get you used to having a different person in the car, you can also get a mouth spray from boots which calms you down cant think wat its called but if you ask them they should be able to help you,
good luck youll be fine |

I was very nervous and could hardly hold down the clutch. I failed first time however I retook the test a week later and got some 'Bachs Rescue Remedy' a few drops on your tongue before your test and you can actually feel your heart rate dropping, it really calms you down. Good luck! |

Its never easy getting over nerves - even if you know exactly what you're doing!
My first driving test I got something in the region of 3 major and 15 minor marks (as in a massive fail!), but the second one I took my time, until I was confident in myself, and passed with just 2 minor marks, which is pretty good ;)
I think the best thing that helped me settle down was thinking things like "there's thousands of people driving, if they can, so can I." Just psyching yourself up in your head can go a long way to getting you ready for stressful situations like exams. |

I had a similar problem with nerves, took me 4 times to pass. In the end I took some herbal tablets called "Kalms" which I got from the chemists. They worked for me.
Good Luck, Fingers Crossed For You. |

Tension is the body pumping adrenaline into your system to get you ready to run from danger. All of us use this before and during examination or interview to give of out best. if you are not slightly nervous you will lapse into silly errors the adrenaline helps us to think clearly and quickly. Actors tell you they are nervous (even the famous ones) before they go on stage. The trick is to recognise it for what it is and use it in a positive manner. Good Luck (but you will of course rely on skill) If you do not understand what the examiner is trelling you do not be afraid to ask him to repeat it. Believe it or not he would prefer to pass you than fail you so give him the chance to.
Good luck |

Regard the examiner as a friend you are taking down the road to see his mother give him a comfortable ride but make sure you practice all your instuctor has taught you .
If you do this you will pass
the examiner is there to see if you are confident on the road NOT to fail you as a lot of people think
Good luck you will make it |

when i sat my test i overcame my nerves by eating a banana to give me extra energy for concentrating (seriously it worked) and i also talked with the guy who was really nice and i found this helped me. Hope u pass and good luck |

Just remember what your instructor has taught you.The examiner is there as an accompanying driver. You have passed, unless you do something drastic.Everybody makes mistakes sometime or other when driving. If you can show that you can drive a car competently without encouragement or advice then you will be OK!
Most of all don't take any notice of anyone saying "the examiner did this" or "the examiner did that" or "if you do this" or "if you do that"
If you have been taught properly, and have had good tuition then there is no reason why you should not pass.
Good Luck and come back with the result |

treat it as a lesson with another instructor who is only giving you directions and you have to put into practice what your instructor has taught you ,good luck |

Like everyone else has said-just think of them as a friend and you will relax. I did fail my first time but its nothing to get worked up about-I just booked it again for mid Nov. Try to think of it as 40mins were your instructor couldn't make it so his friend had to step in.
Good luck. Let us know. |

Bachs rescue remedy helped me. but at the end of the day it's not a big deal if you don't get it this time. all the best drivers passed on the second test. |

be calm, get as much practice as you can to reassure yourself that you CAN actually do this.
eat well before you go for your test and ask the examiner questions (even ones like can you repeat the question?) as this makes your brain focus on the job at hand
do not go to the test pissed, hungover, on drugs, without your trousers or attempt to bribe the examiner ( this p1sses them off and its an automatic fail) |
