I wouldnt.

Yeah. What state only charges 45 dollars? In Michigan I think the minimum ticket is 90. 7-10 over the speed limit is almost 150. Consider yourself lucky and don't travel to Michigan.

billybetters2
Yep. a lot of the states now are working together in reguards to tickets. IE. You get a ticket in another state and don't pay then they can issue a warrent for your arrest where you live.

$45.00 is cheep to avoid going to jail.

The CORRECT thing to do is to pay it, and move on with your life. You could potentially have problems down the line if you don't. They will put the unpaid item into your database, which is accessible across the country by any law enforcement officer. You may not go back to that state, but the next time you get pulled over for anything else, no matter where, the officer can bring up your whole record. Depending on the city & state where you received the ticket, unpaid tickets beyond a certain time frame can turn into misdemeanor offenses, with higher fines and the potential for a warrant being issued. It's not worth it.

You screwed up, so pay the $45 and be done with it.

Hope this helped.

If you were there then yes you do have to pay the ticket.or it goes to warrent and the pick you up.You will pay a lot more then 45 dollars.

palon1957
yes or it might be 45 doubles, then a court order to appear on facing the reasons you failed to origionaly pay. I once had a 10 parking ticket go up to a court appearance and an $80 fine plus $5 court costrs, all because I never paid it and ignored it.

I cannot believe some of the answers these dumb nuts are giving, My friend the answer is YES, pay the ticket. the ticketing state has all the information they need that is put in a national database and it will follow you everywhere you go. Your state that issued your license can suspend it for failure to pay a ticket. In cases like this, DMV agencies in every state work together, so go ahead and pay it , it will save you alot of headaches later.

holly_hartline
yep if you dont they will wait for you to get in trouble then you will be arrested then transported back to that state.for 45 bucks???

sure...if you never want to renew your car's registration again...some states will call DMV and tell them you skipped out on a parking ticket and they wont let you renew your registration until you pay the parking ticket. They can also tow your car if they find it. They could probably also get up with DMV and do something to your drivers license....We're living in the computer age...everything is linked together. They have your tag number therefore they can track you extremely easily...

no whoever the car is that you got it in will have to pay it .just pay it its only 45 bucks ,broke a$$ fool

you sure do.
you have to either pay it immediately after you get it if that town and state allows that, then you don't have to apper....not all places do that.
I think you have to appear in front of the judge too and then pay it.
Why not give them a call and ask how you can pay it thru the mail.

RangerBob
I wouldnt. Parking tickets dont even have your name on it. They technically cannot pin it to you. If you never plan on going back, then I wouldn't worry about it.
And besides, they do NOT issue warrants for unpaid traffic tickets. A warrant for an arrest has to have a name to it for a specific person, and since parking tickets don't have names on it, they can't issue warrant.
So ,just forget it.

well yeah

I would pay it if i were you. Some states work together when it comes to traffic violations. So if you don't it may come back to bite you later.

Yes. the department of motor vehicle keeps a record on the computer. You will still be charged when you renew your license or car registration.

they will attack your drivers license or tags and when you go to renew they will tell you pay the ticket and then come back

Ethan
my advice is to pay the fine. They will be after you.

mel_0882
Legally, yes you're liable to pay it. But there is a thing called "Compact states" and only the states that are a part of the compact states can enforce each others tickets. Unfortuanitly theres very few states that are not included now. If you are in California (they are not a compact state) then Illinois cannot enforce the penalty, but if you return to California you can be arrested. If you get a ticket in Indiana and live in Illinois then you can lose your Drivers License or be arrested because they are both part of the compact states. In part, I would suggest paying it because it will come back to bite you in the rear!

mel
If it's America, they will hunt you down like the dirty dog that you are!

If not, go about your merry way! :)

ђε αtε mɥ {❤}
yes. you always have to pay a ticket no matter where or when you got it whether or not you live there, i[m pretty sure there's a address on the ticket so you could possibly mail it in.

Joy
Yes, because in some states they will take away your liscence for such a kind of thing.

AslanMusic
yes

Bre
umm yeah...unless you want a warrent out for your arrest... no fun!
