Depends on what country you are in. In India, they would confiscate your home. In the USA, the judge issues a bench warrant for your arrest on contempt charges and you may be tried and sentenced separately for those charges (icing on the cake).
Unless you like to live as a fugitive, best to show up when summoned.

I heard from someone that it isn't good if you don't go as it is a court order and you will be going against that. I think it better you go.

Kristina
You will probably be prosecuted for a higher fine. If you fail to appear in court continuously, you may be put in prison.

You automatically lose. What happens after that depends on what kind of court proceeding it was. If it was civil, then they just rule in favor of the plaintiff. If it was criminal, then watch how you drive, don't buy a plane ticket, or do anything that requires you to show an ID, because if they run it, you'll have a bench warrant for your arrest, and the cops will take you to jail immediately.

Called a Warrant being issued for your arrest depending as to the charges that you were supposed to be there for. They can suspend a license and do other things to you

Lavish
a bench warrant will be issued and u will be a fugitive

chris_in_pdx
Get ready for jail. For a hell of a lot longer than you originally planned.

pincollector
There will be a warrant for your arrest, and you'll be in that much more trouble when they catch you.

helper
Unfortunately they may fine you, impose court costs, and put a warrant out for your arrest, not showing up only makes you look guilty, at least go and have your say, if you show up willingly, it will only look better for you!

G.P.
Just go in and say something happened that prevented you from being able to go. They'll get pissed and you'll probly get in trouble. It's worth a shot. I did that once and I just went into court on the day I finally showed up like it wasn't a big deal... Don't avoid it any longer because you'll just get in that much more trouble.

jay k
A bench warrant will be issued for you. It depends on the level of your crime whether they act on that warrant right away or the warrant waits while more "important" matters are taken care of.

Nan's cat Tigger
One time when I was on jury duty someone was supposed to be in court and didn't show up so the judge put out a warrant for his arrest. Then the police had to go looking for him.
Around here when this happens the bad person then has to stay in the jail after the cops find them until their next court appearance.

Str8Crippin
They'll get a warrant for your arrest, and hold you under custody until the next courttrial is set.

Moondog
A warrant for your arrest will be issued and you will be in more trouble than you already are. If you have been bonded out the Bail bond guys (bounty hunters) will come after you and they are not nice people.

They will issue a bench warrant for your arrest. The judge will most likely revoke bail as well and you will be in jail until all court appointments are finished. Go to your scheduled dates. It is really in your best interest. When it comes to court appointments do exactly as they say. You don't want to deal with the repercussions.

wizjp
Found guilty, and if it is deemed so, a warrant will be issued for your arrest; or your fines and costs will be sent to you to pay depending on what you are to appear charged with.

Simple traffic usually means fines.

Burglary means jail
