you should keep your license on you at all times...Im not sure what they would to with a copy of it, because if you get pulled over they run your license through something like a credit card, thats why it has that black strip on the back...I wouldnt go with out it again...

nothing, if you dont get pulled over AFTER school, and they find out that its a copy, you will most likley get a ticket. But I doubt that you will get pulled over

I can only speak for Kansas. If you are caught, yes you are a licensed driver but you can still be cited for driving without a license in your possession.

You need your license with you every time you get behind the wheel, being you have a photo copy with you sounds like you plan to leave your license behind, there is no other reason for you to have a photo copy in your car. If the police are smart when they catch you, and they will. they will ticket you as an unlicensed driver and you will have to go to court, were the judge most likely will pull your license until you reach age 21.

If you get pulled over you usually have either a specific amount of time to produce a valid license and show it to the police, or you have to go to traffic court and show a valid license to the judge.

Your copy won't matter, they can pull up your info in the computer and verify it that way. Here in Ohio, you'd be fine, but hte problem is, this officer now has to take his time to pull your info up instead of you just handing it all to him on that nice little card. This is gonna make it harder for you to get away with a warning for whatever you got pulled over for in the first place. Might wanna start keeping it with you.
