i think the police officer could of been nicer to you rather then shouting at you but as he is in middle of a arrest it is acceptable that he shouted because he might been stressed from this situation and you happened to interrupted him at really bad time |

Are there no other places in your city where you could get a drink? Maybe you could have found a Burger King or a Wendy's or a convenience store nearby that WASN'T a crime scene.
Police officers deal with a lot of scumbags every day. They aren't there to be your "friend", or to be "helpful", or to provide assistance when you wreck your car because you weren't watching on the road. Police officers are out to catch and arrest CRIMINALS who are ruining our society. That's why they deal with everyone like they're scumbags -- because they are. |

yes he is allowed to "be that rude to you". |

No one should interrupt a police officer in the line of duty as they are protecting us all. You would not die of thirst and so you could have waited a few more minutes. |

Alright he shouldn't have said it quite like that, but you said yourself about officers struggling to arrest someone and having to pin him down. Why ask such a stupid question when you can see what's happening. |

Good you were hampering an ongoing police action. That is just stupid when they are trying to do their job to keep you safe. |

Being rude is not a crime so yeah he can do that to you |

Oh dear dear dear, how inconsiderate of that police officer to engage with fighting crime, cleaning the streets of the dross and wasters, that it stopped you entering McDonald's. What the hell was he thinking of. If I were you, I would write to the chief constable demanding that when you are out and about, wanting your Big Mac, all police activity should stop and the road be cleared for your ladyship to buy her Big Mac.
If I were you, I would stand in front of a mirror, look at your self and say,,,,,"That was a real dumb question I asked"
Get a life girl. I wonder if your reaction would be the same if you wanted the help of the police......Grow up |

Yes. Anyone is allowed to be that rude to you...get over it, that's life. |

The last thing any officer wants to do is arrest someone to begin with. Then you come along & get mixed in that situation for no real reason except that you are thirsty. There was no reason for you to do that. You could have waited a few more minutes & then gone in. Police officers are not robots w/ no emotions. Anyone can get wound up in such situations & become a little angry. |

The only way to fight stupidity, in your case, is with rudeness.
In fact, I am amazed that you have posted this question! It reinforces my opinion that you are stupid. |

For all you know the guy could have assaulted somebody there so I'd have thought it was more important for them to make sure the rest of the public were safe before allowing anybody else into the premises. Haven't you ever been rude to anybody when you've been stressed? |

It was kind of a silly question. They shouldn't be rude as in cursing at you or whatever but they don't always have time to be super polite to bystanders.
When you come up on a crime scene, an arrest, a wreck, any police situation...your job is to stay the heck out of the way and let them do what they need to do. They are trying to secure the scene, and keep themselves, the criminal, and everyone in the area safe. SO by encroaching on the scene, interrupting an officer (who may have just been keeping eyes and ears out for trouble, not just standing around)...you make the officer's job harder, and that gives him reason to think to himself that YOU are the rude one.
The only exception is if you see an officer blatantly abusing someone who can't do anything about it, such as someone who is already in custody. But even then you just report him. You don't interrupt police officers. |

Judging by your own story, you were an idiot and should be glad they didn't throw the cuffs on you for interfering with a policeman. I hope this is a troll, but from my own time on the street I know there are way too many of you self entitled pinheads. |

Yes... The best thing to do when something like that is happening is turn around and walk away, never mess with a police officer when they are affecting an arrest. You probably should not have even asked him in the first place. |

Yes. You were interfering in OUR business. What makes you think your petty need should get in the way of catching anti-social gits? |

When police officers are fighting someone your desire for a coke isn't more important.
Yes, they can be direct (and rude) in that situation. |

Are you stupid? Why would you want to enter a possible crime scene just for a soda. You were making yourself more important than apprehending a criminal. Oh boo hoo, I needed a drink.
You need to get over yourself, I'm glad he yelled at you. |

WOW you are so stupid.... Yes he can be that rude and your lucky.. You could be considered interfering with a police officers duty. I'm pretty sure there were other places to get a drink and unless you were about to relistically pass out then you are just a whinny baby who didn't get her way. |

Yes. Police officers are strictly business, and nothing else. You should not go up to a police officer when they are in the middle of making an arrest. |

Yes, because many police officers are pieces of garbage. In fact, the entire American Justice is idiotic. I have some respect for LADY police officers, because they have a tendency to be kind, but NO respect for the men. I was driving one day, just minding my own business, when this stupid cop started following me. I was following ALL every rule on the road. He was NOT happy about that. He wanted me to break some rule so that he could give me a ticket. I NEVER gave me a chance. He then pulls to a stop next to me at a light. He give me a dirty look. I look back into his eyes, with an even ruder nastier look. The shocked look on his face was worth more than I can express. That felt good. Then the light turned green. I went straight and he turned right, after LOSING to me. Stupid fool. I made this idiot's day. |
