I always call them 'the fuzz' LOL. I don't know where that came from, the 70's I think. I'm from the 70's, and I think we used to call them the fuzz then. Pigs is not something I say really. |

No. Don't be so ignorant. If someone breaks into your home while your upstairs in bed, who you gonna call?
That's right, so be respectful of those that put their life on the line for you and others every day and uphold the order. |

Ian W

There seems to be a lot of hatred for the police, judging by the answers so far. When i worked as a prison officer some prisoners called the staff screws, I would use the term "convict" or "criminal" as a response just to focus their minds on respect for each other. Thereafter I addressed them with their first name. As I have said before on YH answers, when you need the Police to protect you then you might stop referring to them as "pigs". |
|

Joan K
|
Never have called them that. |

Years (decades?) ago pig was changed to an acronym- personally I think only to piss off those who called the police pigs by taking away the derogatory meaning.
It stands for
Pride
Integrity
Guts
The 3 primary elements a successful police officer most possess. |
