I have to take a polygraph test for a police department and need to know if I will be automatically DQ'd?

I need to do a background interview and take a polygraph test in order to continue on with the hiring process for the Fresno Sheriffs Dept. How much of a chance do I have in continuing on into the hiring process after discussing my background. I tried Meth once in 2005 but never again since then. I also have smoked Marijuana 2 times....last time being 2 years ago. I have no criminal record but one seat belt ticket from 2006.
Additional Details
I know that cops are not perfect...no one is, except my cousin apparently haha....but im wondering because I inhaled Meth once in my life and i dont know if that automatically DQ's me.

If you've already taken a drug usage questionnaire and you were allowed to continue, then you have nothing to worry about as long as you are consistent with your admittance.

If you freak out about it so much you will fail the test...hopefully.

please remember this when you take the polygraph test.

THAT YOU TOOK METH AND MARIJUANA AND YOU ARE LYING TO LAW ENFORCEMENT.

The most important thing is do not lie about anything. There is probably not 10 police officers in the country that's not ever done drugs or broken a law. The main thing they look for is are you truthful and if it came down to it could you defend you or your fellow officers.

If it is a requirement of the hiring process, yes.

Just tell the truth . Do you think that all the cops out there have never broken a law ?
