I was told as long as you say "I think" before anything else, they cant do a thing.
So I was told.... |

In CT it is not. Police are expected to have "Thick Skin". Calling a police officer a pig, fat, lazy, ***&*^% and most other common putdowns is not illegal in itself. If you scream the words and bother others who may hear it, that may make it illegal. Or calling a police officer something like the "N" word or other bias related words is not legal also in some cases. |

No, but I don't know why you would. Do you have the balls to go out there and do what they do? Making drug busts with people shooting at you, getting shot at for just pulling someone over? Working 12 to 14 hours a day getting paid like $9.50 and hour? Didn't think so. |
|

those that really matter to you!
|
no |

that guy
|
No. But it will bring attention to you and I'm sure the cop will find something to bring you in for. Smart ***!! |

alex.. sure cops are ***** sometimes and give you speeding tickets for riding your moped 10mph over the speed limit but cops really get alot of crap from other people..
can you even imagine what the USA would be like without cops? total chaos. You cant live with them, and you cant live without them..
just give them a break |

No. But it is pretty stupid. Nice way to receive some "SIDEWALK JUSTICE".......... |

No, but it sure might hurt their feelings. |

Bathroom Graffiti

Not worth finding out. They can classify that as "causing or aiding a disturbance", "inciting a riot", anything...... |

Are you kidding!?! This is America! Of course it's illegal!
But seriously, they can get you for interfering with a police officer in the line of duty. They'll find some way to get you, some charge to bust you. So you should have a pretty darn good reason for making fun of them.
PS Forgive me for being ethnocentric and assuming you are talking about cops in the US. |

As long as it's not interfering with their duties, it's allowed. However, at any one time, there are a billion little infractions that you could be breaking. Those things (like things hanging from rearveiw mirrors in Maine) are rarely enforced, but if you make fun of a cop...
Defiantly not advised. |

Nope. Although there used to be laws on the books that said you couldn't insult a peace officer.
They are probably still on the books, although not enforced.
I don't recommend you do that. If you do that right to a cop's face, he/she will find something else to bust you for. |
|

only p

Nope. But if you make a scene they will get you for disturbing the peace. |
|

aznboardergirl

no, but it wont be a good idea to tease them and infuriate them! |
|

?

If you want to go to jail then say whatever crosses your mind. Just remember they can hold you for no reason for up to 24 hours. Have you ever been in jail? |

Try it and find out. |

You would have to check your local ordinances, but generally, there is a crime known as vilification of a police officer. |

I would say there is no law on the books since we do have some part of our freedom of speech still intact. The police, though, will make you pay one way or another. They will make sure you pay a higher fine or they will pass word around and watch your every move until you make a mistake and then they will get you. |

no but not advisable. |

SKYDOGSLIM

no it is not. but it might notbe real smart either. |

It's not against the law, but if you do, you better make sure everything about you is on the up and up. You may face increased scrutiny from them... |
|

J
 |
It's probably not a good idea. |
|

Big Jimi
|
It's against the law to harass anyone ! |
|

Git r' done

Maybe not illegal, but definately stupid -- they have guns, clubs, tasers, and know how to hide the bodies. |
|

All hat

Depends how you do it. If you disobey or impede any lawful command, that's against the law. Also, once you piss a cop off, usually there are a dozen things they could zap you for that you never even thought of, so it's a bad idea in any event. |

It absolutely was not in the year 2000. Since Bush stole the office and tittle of "President of the United States of America" it no longer even resembles the same country. You may not feel it today but a reckoning is coming. He has been busy signing so many executive orders (more than I think all other Presidents combined) You can be arrested detained and executed in secret. Not just some people he has labled enemy combatants, anybody. Go to the White House web site, and find the executive orders he has signed. IT WILL STUN YOU. So who knows, every day there are new laws that you can be arrested for. |
