What's best way to avoid points on license for speeding?

Mr friend was caught by speed gun doing 93 mph. He's qualifying to be a driving instructor and would rather pay big fine than get points. Any recommendations?

In my state (VA), you can take driving school to get five points taken from your license. Of course 93 in a 65 earned him six points, so he still has one. It might not help him anyway. A few years ago I had my license suspended for the same thing and I had no points on my license before that offense. It was midnight on an almost empty interstate, but the judge still thought it needed to be suspended.

Erm don't speed

He will get 3 points or if the police decide to issue a summons he could be disqualified.

You can't buy your way out of this one, I'm afraid. If your friend tries to avoid the points by pleading in court, can you guess what the Magistrates will say?

hes going to get points thats unavoidable, he might limit the number of them by pleading guilty by post. You didnt say what the speed limit was, if its 70 hes looking at minimal damage, anything below and hes in trouble!! In answer to the question headline the easiest way to avoid points on your licence for speeding is by not speeding

It's been said before but I'll say it again, don't speed!

You had to expect that answer really...

srracvuee
if the area he was trapped speeding in is regarded as a danger area he could possibly get 6 points so i would just take this as a lesson to learn!and as for driving instructor// forget it

Don't speed and it does not matter whether he pays the fine, he'll still get the points. Trying driving school.

Sorry but at 93mph, he's going to get points, and a large fine, I don't want to sound condescending, but shouldn't he know better ?

Sounds like a blessing in disguise to me !

I hope he gets the points! I sure dont feel comfortable with this kind of person teaching others to drive on the same roads as I do with my child in the back seat! 93 mph is ridiculous! They should have taken him to jail right then and there!!!

There's no way out , the points are automatic !!

he should stop driving too fast in his car. once it's done it can't be undone, unless he's alex ferguson, then he should say he needed to pooh.

DON'T SPEED is the surefire way of not getting points on a licence for speeding! It really is that simple. If someone is training to be a driving instructor and still speeds, he is not of the calibre that should be teaching ANYONE to drive and should be made to drive himself within the law. Driving by example.....

Lizzybee, your attitude is beyond belief, calling people high and mighty just because they state the truth about speeding. A clean licence is something to be proud of and the only way to maintain a clean one is not to speed, it also is a stupid activity, speed kills, even at relatively low speeds. This goes the same for all those stupiud people who have said the UK's new plans for more speed camera's is just an income making machine, well it will be if people are stupid enough to break the law.

I have a spotless licence, have had for 14 years, my partner for 29 years, my mother for 48 years, spotless, never been stopped for anything, thats something to shout about, not ramble on about people being high and mighty, we've earned the right to be that way

you cant get out of it by paying a big fine!! Youre mates gonna get 3 points! end of!
Wouldn't like him as a driving instructor; not cos' of the 93mph but the fact he couldnt see the speed camera signs in the first place shows lack of concentration!!!

If he is an instructor and was speeding (93 mph.) he should have bee totally disqualified.
The best way to avoid points is not to speed.

I have a similar problem I want to work with PETA but I refuse to stop eating meat and kicking puppies. Relax people that was sarcasm.

I think that if he wants to be a driving instructor then he should have to live up to the example he is teaching.

georgiansilver
So your friend is going to teach people to drive......what a great example your friend would be to any potential driver eh? Over 100mph is an automatic ban in some local authority areas but below that.......your friend deserves to get points....everyone else does!.
Best wishes, Mike.

he is stuffed in this was on any other road other than a motorway as he will 30mph above the national spped limit of 60mph. He had better have a back up job lined up!

Happy Murcia
none other than if he wanted to do 23mph over the national speed limit and a driving instructor then he deserves the points
