Drug enforcement laws focus only on the sale and possession of controlled substances. There is no law against talking about drugs. If you read High Times, people even write in about how much weed is selling for in their neighborhood. It's free speech. If you said "hey, I have a bag of weed on me" and a cop hears you or reads it online, that coudl be just cause for a search warrant, but you're not getting arrested unless you have it on you.

And even if you did have drugs on you, it usually takes multiple offenses to ever do prison time for possession. Even a small sale prolly wouldn't land you in jail if it were your first offense.

Cops are not monitoring the web for drug talk. They barely have time to do their real job, which is preventing major crimes and violence. You couldn't hire enough cops to monitor the web for innane junk like that!

And a dime is, by definition, $10. But coke is usually sold by the gram, not in nicks and dimes.

Coke doesn't come in "dimes" where I'm from, weed does. Coke comes in grams (~$80) and fractions/increments there of (halves, ounces, "eight balls" 1/8th ounce = 3.5 grams, a "teener" 1/16th ounce = 1.75 grams...)

A dime is usually a $10 bag of pot, never heard of $10 of coke because that's barely a line in some cases.

Not at all. As of right now the government can't arrest you on what you think ( thank God ). That information is on the net for a reason, to educate people of the dangers of drugs, and the "lingo" used in transactions just in case you overhear one being made. In Texas you can be arrested for having it, making it, growing it, transporting it, holding it for a third part, or selling it.

No, you won't go to jail just because you looked up cocaine and how much a dime is on the internet. You could have been doing it for a school project for all anyone knows.
By the way, you should really not be using cocaine. It's a rough drug.

The only way you'll be arrested in relation to cocaine is if you are caught with cocaine in your possession (like if you get pulled over and they search your car/person) or if you are caught buying/selling.

EDIT: The price of cocaine depends on where you are getting it from and if it's cut or not (they "cut" it with things like baking soda so you are not getting 100% cocaine when you purchase in the U.S.- this allows drug dealers to make more money off a certain amount of cocaine). However, if you are in a foreign country/island like the Caribbean or Columbia for example- that is pure cocaine and it takes little to get you high so that will run a higher price.
In the U.S. you can get cocaine for dirt cheap, but the thing about the drug is that it leaves you wanting more so you tend to buy more- that is why it's called the "rich man's drug".
Also, they measure cocaine in grams and most people do not refer to the amount as a "dime"- that is more common with marijuana.

Nope. You are in the clear. Remember, its not illegal to ask questions and learn. It is illegal, however, to sell, buy, use, possess, traffic, and grow drugs. And cocaine, you are looking at federal time. It is a felony.

Edit--Madison-Coke aint half as bad as other drugs out there! Cocaine is not as bad as crack, or heroine, or ketamine, or methamphetamines, or lsd, or acid, or any of those things! Coke just keeps you chilled out, makes you chatty, and makes you happy for about 30 mins! It's nowhere near as bad as most of the other drugs about!

Nothing will happen to you....if you wanna know, then 1 gram of cocaine, is about Â£50, not sure what that is in America, but it's very expensive!
But you won't get nicked for reading up on it! Chill out girl!! xx
