can i press charges on someone for stealing my cell phone?

someone stold my phone and we have a feeling that we know who it is and might have a witness that this person stold it. can we press charges on this person? it's worth $200 it's the samsung alias 2. and he also has an iPod touch that is ours, another $200 and $80 we let this person barrow. what do we do? we've been niice enough for this person to return the stuff but keeps saying he's benn out of town and it's been two week, its a bunch of bull****!

Yes, you can press charges. That is called stealing. You can't get the 80 dollars back, since only licensed money lenders can take legal action to get a loan back. But you can get the phone and ipod back.

This would be done in small claims court. You have to pay a small court fee.
