Abortion is essentially murder. The whole idea that a cute baby is nothing but "a clump of cells" before it passes through the birth canal is absolute bs. It has nothing to do with religion. Abortion is murder, and it all results from people not wanting to take responsibility for their actions. |

i do not like it, but there are exceptions
it is stupid to have an abortion for the fact that you don't actually want a baby, and you accidentally got pregnant, that is a silly thing to do, you should have just been more careful.
whereas is you get pregnant, there is the rare occasion that the baby is produced outside the womb, and the baby will die, and also kill the mother, so you have to get an abortion then.
that is my view.

Im pro life but i agree with it being legal because you would end up with women going for back street abortions and them loosing there lives as well as there babies
Abortion has to be legal ,if a women gets raped or a young girl at 12 gets raped and does not want that child should she be forced to have the child the answer is no! |

No. No one has the right to take a life and a fetus is a life. If someone were to kill a pregnant woman, that person would be charged with murdering 2 people, the mother and the baby. |

Abortion has always been the one controversy that has always stood out for me.. so heres what i think..really i dont think its my place to tell a woman if she should have a kid or not even if i was the one to get her pregnant..the reason why franky is becuz im a man..i will never know the life changing feeling need it be good or bad..so i cant understand what they go through becoming a mommy..However im for abortion becuz it has been going on for thousands of years.. Im mean think about it isn't killing your child after its born just the same a abortion..and how many news stories have been reported about that..hundreds..And even if it becomes illegal you know scared girls are just going to go back to what they used to do..hangers..and that is VERY dangerous for both mother and child..I think the truth is is that people dont understand how primal we can be..Mothers sometimes just want to be mothers and will do whatever it takes..even kill. |

Those who want to turn America into a religious dictatorship need to move to Iran or someplace where their anti-American views are apreciated. |

while abortion must be legal, a woman should also be provided with all the correct information she needs to make a responsible and rational decision. I believe that this is the only solution we can have which will conclude this "private war" once and for all. The misinformation and violence surrounding this issue has turned human against human for far too long. Most of the negativity regarding the issue of abortion comes from the religious rights who believe that the right to the life of the fetus supercedes all else. Unfortunately there will always be a disparity between logic and religion. |

i am a catholic, so i dont believe its the right choice HOWEVER,,,,, it is NOT MY choice!! I dont believe its right for soemone to just not want a baby so they kill it. thats wrong. for a rape victim... its a diff story!!

Yes, I think with both abortion and gay marriage that people should worry about things that actually affect them. If I get pregnant and am not ready to have a child that decision should be mine because it affects me, not some random politician or born again Christian. |

Yes, say a 13 year old is raped and becomes pregnant? Some awful person violated her like that and she will forever live with the after effect. Not to mention that a pregnancy at such a young age is dangerous, and is also a life ruiner.
And to the people who thumbs downed me? Do you agree in risking the life of a 12 year old?! Do you even stop to think about the women who would potentially give birth, or do you only care about what's inside her? It's a person's choice whether they undergo abortion or not, and by changing the law, making it illegal, there will be self abortions which can lead to death. Just think about that for a change. |

yes because there are alot of teens getting pregnant these days and most teens don't want to be a mother at that time in their life so the only way out is abortion. I don't think it is very humane to do but if it is absolutely neccessary then i agree. |
