Did it have a couple American Express and about 3 CIti bank cards and oh yeah, my lucky penny? Just kidding ,but seriously, NOT the police. We had our wallet pickpocketed from the train station in Italy and none of the police wanted to help. They kept sending us to someone else.We are suppose to report it to the police first then the card co's. But like I said , they acted put out. I figured they were in cahoots with the thieves. |

give it to the cops. If you have the person's name maybe you can contact them. I would shred the pin numbers though. Just in case. |

give it to the police, so that if someone came in to claim the wallet it would be right there for them |

Nah just kidding it's the right thing your doing though. I know it had nothing in it but so and so but still. That was great of you to do such a thing.
~Good Luck with finding the owner. |

Try to find the person through information or the phone directory. If you can't, take the wallet to the bank and make them give you detailed receipts for the wallet and everything in it. |

To the police. By law that is what you are supposed to do. |

Heads up!

Police. |

?

Call them RIGHT AWAY and you can save them the trouble of canceling everything.
Wait even a few hours, and the window of opportunity closes.
Eventually, you have to give it back anyway, right? And if you don't have their phone number, call their bank, and have the bank call them. |

The Centurion Card, popularly known as the Black Card, is American Express's most exclusive charge card. Their are less than 10,000 issued worldwide.
The Centurion Card actually came about from an urban legend and American Express decided to capitalize on them by launching the Centurion Card in October 1999 and made available to selected holders of The Platinum Card, with an annual fee originally at $1,000. (currently the fee is $5,000). You also must spend $250,000 annually.
I doubt very much you found a wallet containing such .... yes I am calling you a liar. |

Call the bank card company and they will direct you to the nearest bank. |

The police may not go through the effort to find the owner, cause it may not be a big issue to them. The bank could just look up the owner and contact them. |

dont give it to the cops . no telling how long it would be before theyd do something about it. by giving it to the bank they could contact the owner much quicker than the cops, the bank will know immediately if there has been a freeze on the accounts or not. |

The police... they will then, if they are doing their job, inform the bank and contact the owner.
If you think the police might not be totally honest, you should write down the Number on the cards and take that to the bank and tell them that you found the cards with those numbers and tell them which police station you brought them to.
Note: to cover yourself, you might want to get a signed statement from the police noting the date and time you left the wallet with them. If charges are made to the card after you turn it in, then you will have proof that you didn't have it. |

send them to the card company, they should have all the info on that customer.
Thanks for your Honesty!!! |

I'd take it to the Bank, that's all the police will do. The Bank will be able to trace the owner through their account numbers. |

absolutely return it to the police.
i'd even go a step further and attempt to locate the owner and let them know that you found the wallet and brought it to the local police department. |

Actually, I would hand it into the bank because i think there's a better chance of them getting it to the guy immediately as they would want the person to continue banking there as soon as possible. |
