it is morally wrong. thats why. it is morally wrong. yes. marriage is a religious institution and sacrament. considering all religions are agaisnt gay marriage, it shouldmt be allowed. it is a celebration of a sacred bond between MAN AND WOMAN. not to mention it is all just natural. oh come on. dont do this definition of "is" crap. we all know very well marraiage is a spiritual bond between man and wife.

also, if gay marriage is allowed, whats to stop people from fighting for animal-human relationships?
what are you going to use the argument "becuase animals cant give consent" or "becuase they are not protected by the consitution". because those arguments are gross. the fact that it is WRONG should be a good anough reason.

In the natural world, begetting offspring, so that life continues, is Mother Nature's rule...breaking that rule by everyone could mean the end of humankind .....

I'm not an opponent to gay marriage, but the reasons you listed are basically the only reasons against it. There is no solid, logical, non-religious reason against it, as illogical and/or religious people are the only ones who argue about it.

well if u dont want to use religion dont get married, who do you think started the institution of marriage? but using your criterias then its wrong because marriage is meant for a man and woman for procreation and family values. if they want civil unions fine, but its not marriage.

I don't personally feel gay marriage, as you put it, is wrong.

First thing: to say something is wrong or otherwise is to make it a moral argument. Asking for a moral argument without religion (which Christianity is) is sort of like asking for a nice ocean swim without the ocean.

There is nothing wrong with gay marriage other than personal religious beliefs. Answers on here have clearly proved that.

Gay marriages are not specifically "Wrong." It is society, in specific that stakes claim and views it as "Wrong." Marriage is the unification of two people, not gender related, that unconditionally love one another and symbolize it with a ceremony and celebrate with others their intentions vowed before them, The one creator of mankind, regardless of how summoned by people or groups, created all of mankind equally.along with part of the creator installed within every being, was also the ability to LOVE one another, again, not gender specific. The laws of marriage are based on long held traditional, societal values. Those values espouse proper traditional families (eg.) Father, Mother and genetically produced offspring. The Family. Gay couples don't fit into this model. The combination of procreation and marriage have been so ingrained into our psyche that anything less is abnormal (or wrong)

The state has fulfilled it's "obligation" of equality by developing Domestic partner laws. Marriage is a social issue that needs no government involvement. When society wants to change it will. But nowhere has the PEOPLE in a free election voted to authorize "Gay marriage". It has been a abomination committed by Judges and a few legislatures.
