I can't see them persuing this if it truly was accidental, If they feel you did it on purpose, you can go to juvenile det over it... in some states you may even go to the adult County Lock up.

no ur not go in juvenile for such a small crime probably they will put in probation in that period of probation u cant commit any crime or theyll put in JUVI mostly they r mostly gonna press charges and ask u to pay for their medical expenses for the kid and sue u to give some amount of money which ur lawyer will handle and nothing;s gonna be big

Well, they do have the right to do that, but if you say "i really didn't mean to do this, it was a total accident." they might let it slide. And tell them, "i have never been in any kind of trouble like this before. What would make you think that i would start getting into it now?" Also, the worse they can do to you is fine you or put a no-contact order on you. (it's like a restraining order)

Noo, no don't worry about that. you won't go to juvenile hall. my boyfriend just got charged with assault for something really stupid that he did to his friend, but his friend's parents got mad and pressed charges. he only got a few hours of community service, so being 13 and being charged with second degree, not even first, you probably have nothing to worry about.

Kid, I've done a lot worse and never been thrown in juvie.
I have been in plenty of fights at school. Don't worry. If they really do press charges, the judge will throw the case out the moment he reads it. Even a public defender could save this case from goin stupid.

If you are innocent you will not be going to juvinile. You may be charged with money but i going to juvinile is more serious stuff than that. Did the kid get hurt? badly? If he was killed or in the hospital you might have troubles pleading guilty but i know for sure that you will not go to juvinile for tripping a kid. Unless the parents have a lot of money. It was an accident. No one should be put in juvi because the tripped someone. Heck ive done a lot worse and no one has been able to pin something on me and my stuff wasn't even an accident and everyone knew that i even told everyone it wasn't. If you haven't got in any trouble before your fine.

If u were a kid with a record in all ur schools and got in trouble a lot even though that was an accident u would be sent to juvi. U have never gotten in trouble before then ur totally safe and plus that was an accident! but if the injury's were REALLY severe then u would be watched a lot by the goverment and the school so overall no.

Just because someone presses charges on you does not mean you will go to juvie. The charges have to go through court and be approved by the judge which will probably never happen because it was an accident
