Not really, but depending on how many hours you work in a week or during the pay period could give you time and a half for overtime.....Also depends where you live..... |

If you have breaks, as you say you do, and they pay you time and a half for hours after forty in a week, it's legal. |

yes (uk)--there is a cap on total weekly hours unless you opt out of those regs.by signing to that effect. |

not in the uk no, becuase you have to have a 12 hour gap by government law but in most other countrys vary |

In the US it is absolutely legal. By the way, breaks are not required but employers would be stupid not to offer them.
Make sure you are receiving overtime for any work over 40 hours in your work week (assuming you are nonexempt...and remembe your work week is determined by your employer. find out what days are included on your paycheck, could be sunday-saturday, monday-sunday, etc). |
