I'm 16, no works experience as i've just left school...
my parents have stopped giving me as much money in hope that i'll get a job...
I refuse to work for minimum wage though as it's something like £3.something per hour at my age...
Any reccomendations?
(I'm quite intelligent, good with people fast learner etc.)

I've noticed that working in a nursing/residential home will give you just above the minimum wage (around £5.50 an hour), whereas if you work in a supermarket, the wage starts at around £6.25...which is quite good! |

what are you into as in your hobbies and interests? The things that you are into would be a great way to get started in making income. Just ask your working friends what they are doing? If you like animals maybe you could animal sit in the animals homes why they are on vacation? Like kids then be a nanny?
Hopefully this works! Hair dresser maybe you can be an apprentice and make money while learning a trade? |

I don't know how it works in Europe, but here at the age of 16 it's going to be very difficult to make much above minimum wage............especially with no work history. |

employment agencies usually pay quite good rate.
i'm in the catering industry, and it's alway given me good wages. |

Personally if I was you I'd take the first job that came, then keep an eye out for something better.
As someones already mentioned, at 16 your going to find it difficult to get anything above the minimum wage, especially with no work experience.
At the end ofthe day... a jobs a job, if it's something you don't enjoy and doesn't pay well, then just look at the job as a stepping stone till something better arrives. |

You do not have any work qualifications yet you expect to be paid above the minimum wage, all I can say is dream on, you should take a job and show the employer you are worth more than the minimum wage. then you might get an increase.
With your attitude I would not employ you in my business. |
