husband's ex "stalking" us?

we are in NC. husband has not spoken to this woman for over 3 1/2 years. (she is super psycho) about 7 months or so ago, she made an appointment at my salon for her daughter, and requested that i cut her daughter's hair. (daughter is 16ish) i had never seen the woman before, so i had no clue who she was, but the male hairdresser in my salon did know who she was, but couldn't tell me while she was there without making a scene. she sat next to me the whole hour i was cutting and styling her daughter's hair, carrying on a conversation with me, making comments about things, like bands my husband really likes. it didn't click until after she left and mark (the male hairdressser) told me who she was. anyway, friday night, i was at work, and a woman called to check my hours (we believe it was her), and then she showed up at my house (my husband was here alone). he said he didn't want to see her, slammed the door in her face, and immediately called me. my salon called me this ...

afternoon and told me she was in there after i left having her daughter's hair cut today. (i'm sure it wasn't a coincidence) we researched restraining orders, and in this state, we think she has to at least threaten physical harm for even a warning to be issued, so what legal options do we have here? she is psycho; something has to be done (obviously) for her to get the picture (3 1/2 years later) that he ISN'T interested in her and he is now happily married to me and I WIN. i don't want her on my property (i don't even know how she found out our address), and we are pretty sure that these weird phone calls we got a couple weeks ago were her, even though our home phone is in my maiden name. they were from a blocked number, so i put a blocked number block on the phone and no more weird calls. HELP!
i'm sending him to a lawyer, but i want some idea of if anything can even be done....

I think you need to arrange a time to meet and have a talk about why she is doing this, if all else fails please call high authority. Have a restraining order on her.

Did you seethe movie, Fatal Attraction? I think you have a lot to be concerned about. This woman sounds very dangerous. It's not enough for your husband to slam the door in her face. She is stalking you, probably both of you. Ask your husband if he has been in contact with her recently. What happened to suddenly resurrect her? If he has not been communicating with her, then you know she is beyond being a wacko. Immediately go to the police and take out an order of protection. She is very sick and sick enough to use her teen aged daughter to get next to you. Be sure that your boss and your co-workers know what she has been doing so that they can look out for you. Change your routine in case she has been watching you. Don't park your car in any area where she can accost you alone. Your husband needs to take an aggressive stance but if he won't, then you'd better be prepared to defend yourself from this demon.

you can always call the police and let them know his ex-wife has been stalking you and that it's bothering you and your husband that this woman pops up where you work. and see if they will go talk to her.

Your Husband has to get a protective order since he had the relationship with this woman. You place of employment once it gets a copy of the protective order can bar this woman from your poe while you are there. problem is alot of businesses will fire an employee who has a stalker.

First thing to do is talk to everyone at the salon you work at and make sure EVERYONE knows not to ever give out information of your hours or days you work.Second,if she keeps coming around you,seems like purposely following you,confront her in a PUBLIC place when LOTS pf people are present.NOT at your place of work,as things may turn ugly and I am sure the bosses don't want your personal problems being dealt with there.But you NEED to keep your cool and be polite about it so it does not seem like you are trying to instigate a fight.I say a public place with lots of people so there are alot of witnesses.If you confront her and things do turn ugly you will have plenty of witnessess there to back up your story to the police. A shopping mall is a great place for this to take place since the attention employees of any nearby stand or store will be drawn to you if any raising voices or yelling starts.If she refuses to stop stalking or following you,you can easily go to your local courthouse to find out how to get an Order Of Protection or a Restraining Order.Of course if you confront her and she does start a fight or something of that nature,the Order Of Protection or Restraining Order WILL be much easier to get.If you get one of those and she is still following you around ro stalking you.Very calmly act like you don't notice,and calmly notify the local police to have her arrested.

thats super creepy but i know how it feels what youre going threw because thats how my husbands ex g/f was! she would try calling him more than 100 times a day even though we would tell her off and i had friends tell her off too she still wouldnt get it, she would insist and she even broke the windows of his vehicle and his dads and his brothers vehicle too! she would even go to our work since me and my hubbi use to work together before we got married she would go and stalk us there too, he had to change his number several times and she even called his mom to work and she would go to his dads class since his dad was a teacher and she would tell him to try to convince his son to get back with her. and they would tell her theres no way they can force there son to do something he doesnt want to do and she would still insist! now that me and him are happily married and we have a son now, she finally gave up!

CHECK with your local police what constitutes "stalking" in your community and go from there. If she went onto your property and you told her to leave and to NOT come back, and she does, that is trespassing and you should consider a restraining order. In any case, if you have any 'red flags', contact the local police. Especially if the woman is a nut job.
