If you don't hear anything up to now, it sounds like something got fouled up in your favor. |

Hmmm...learn something new every day. Didn't know about civil demands until you posed this question. According to what I read about it, the laws pertaining to these demands vary depending upon the state you are in. And it basically says that you will have to pay the purchase price and a fine of sorts if I understand it correctly. Personally, if I were you, I would never shop lift again. Unless you're stealing food to feed your starving family, not many people are going to have empathy for you. Swiping a sweater from Macy's isn't exactly something you need to survive. And then I'd just hope that the fine never came in the mail. If it does, take responsibility for your mistake and pay the bill. |

If you haven't gotten it yet its more than likely you won't get it. Next time don't steal. Get a job earn your own keep. |

Well, if I were you, I'd be calling someone about this. A lawyer would be the best choice. If you let it go and don't find out, then one day when you least expect it, you'll be getting arrested for a warrant thats been issued for you.
By the way, shame on you for shoplifting. |

You shouldn't have been stealing in the first place. Maybe you should think before you act next time. Then you won't have anything to worry about. |

You shop-lifted from Macy's?!
What's wrong with you?!
Why would you do such a thing?!
My advice...don't do it again!!!

Ask a question. Then maybe we can help you. That is how this system works. Would you like to know WHY they havent sent you anything? Do you want to know what you should do? We really do not know. |

Don't rob macy's moron....
They won't bother with someone whos dumb enough to get caught. You've been obviously scared off. |

You can probably expect paying a fine of over $100 dollars. They may "sell" your case to an agency to enforce the fine. |

If they haven't filed anything by now, they probably aren't going to. But learn from it, and don't shoplift again, from Macy's or anywhere else. |

they're blowing a bunch of smoke up your asss to scare you to a) make you feel like a stupid dumb phuck for stealing AND b) for getting caught. So do our society a favor by not stealing, because remember, what goes around, comes around. ; ] |

So what's your question? No offense, but shoplifting is illegal. Which you probably knew. Which is why you don't do it.
Sorry for sounding reprimanding... |

You should call them and tell them that they have failed miserably on their promise to send you a civil demand.
You must stay on top of these things, otherwise people will just run right over you.
DEMAND better customer service!
Just call them up and ask them, "So where's my civil demand? You promised and it's been 10 WEEKS already."
Tell them you need it for a special event and to put a rush on your order for a civil demand.
In the color of your choice, of course. |

#1 you're a dumbass for shoplifting.
#2. It's more cost effective for stores to "scare" you than it is to actually prosecute you. However, it if is a repeat thing, you'll get sent to the cleaners.
Stop shoplifting, and get a job. |

Maybe if you do not get it this should be a lesson to you and you never do it again!!!!
If you do than you will learn more than just that! |
