would you leave the job in this case?
Find answers to your legal question.

would you leave the job in this case?

Would you leave a job with a boss who is bossy and treats you bad at the next available opportunity in another firm, even though you like the place?

Thanks

No...that's how most boss' are. They have a lot work to do and are usually stressed out. You need to learn to ignore.

Bosses are supposed to be bossy, that is why they call them the boss!

You'd have to deal with bosses and bossy bosses wherever you go. If you learn how to deal with your current situation, it's as if you've passed a test and this kind of stuff won't bother you anymore.

I would leave a company for another opportunity. However if you are going to get upset about a bossy boss then you may have a very hard time finding a job that suits you.

Bosses normally tell you what to do.

Depends on how badly he made me feel. If the other job looks to be better and more enjoyable then I for sure would leave!

Depends... one person may come and go. How is the rest of the place and its benefits... you wont be able to get through your career without difficult bosses but if you are doing what you wanted to do, with good colleagues, pay, benefits, location... do not let one person turn all that sour for you.

I have a rotten boss... with whom I am meeting, union rep included, to set some things straight. Scary, but necessary. It can be done, within the rules.

No, I would not leave.

I go to work to make money, not friends.

Bosses are paid to be bossy, and sometimes, they don't act as respectfully as they should, but taking things personally will only throw a wrench in the works. Objectify the situation, put your blinders on, and keep in mind that you're earning a pay check.

Quizzard
This depends SO much on all the factors involved that it's really impossible for someone to answer.

How comparable are the jobs, how comparable are the companies, whether this is a long term boss or whether a transfer to another department is possible/likely, exactly how difficult he/she is, etc etc etc.

Only you can ultimately make this decision, but consider that bosses do come and go. You will likely see stellar bosses in your career and those who are just taking up space. A new job may or may not get you a better boss, in fact you may get worse. If the rest of the job appeals to you, those are points you should consider.
