Is it OK to say "I told you so" at a militry funeral for a dead soldier killed in Iraq?

How can you belong to something that you don't believe in?
Why can't you see things from others point of view?
At least he put his life on the line for something that he believed in, can you say the same? Are you brave enough? Can you put anything ahead of yourself enough to die for it? No I am not about to call you any names because I really don't think it would matter to you anyway. Just remember there may come a day when someone that you love (I mean more than yourself) has died how would you want people to act towards you and your love one?

You should seek therapy. You should stay away from the funeral. You should spend less time drinking at the American Legion Post. We are building a memorial to the Veitnam vets here. Maybe you could quit complaining and get off your old axx and do something about it? I have not walked a mile in your boots so I will not judge you. Since you belong to the American Legion I know you have served our country and I respect you for that. Say a prayer for the fallen soldiers family, all of the other soldiers on active duty, and most of all for our leaders. These are difficult times for all of us and I do not blame you for your bitterness. We should be doing more for our soldiers.

I think that you should work on decorum. I am finding it hard to believe that you are a veteran. I something would of happened to you would you appreciate someone yelling I told you so to your parents of you ? Would it heal any injuries? What good can come out of you being so blatantly rude.

Remember, we have a volunteer army. No one was forced to sign up. It is a funeral and you must show respect. It is not about you or your opinions. It is about the dead person and his friends and family. If you make a scene, I hope someone beats the crap out of you. If you made a scene at a funeral of someone close to me, you would regret it. There is a time and a place for things. Funerals are not one of them.

For goodness sakes...the poor young lad(or lass, you didnt specify) has died, his family and friends are in grief...and you want to say to them in their face, at the last time they will see his face ever again, that the poor soul was a fool and will be forgotten?

He/She may be forgotten by people like you, no doubt about that cruel truth... but his/her family and friends (who in the end is all that will really matter for that poor soul) never will forget who he was to them.

If you have problems with the war that is fine by me...but in the name of everything rational and decent dont you dare cause more grief and pain for that poor family by gloating your heart off.

Better yet...dont go to the funeral if you do not want to pay respects...just torture us instead with your rantings (we are alive, we can take it, and we can fight back anyhow)...

I doubt if you are really an American Legion member, since the American Legion are supporters of our troops and our military and they support and understand the need for the war in Iraq.

So if you really beleive this, don't go to the funeral and turn in your American Legion Card
