Find answers to your legal question.

What would makes you to disqualify you from joining the air force? (women answer please)?

Wearing contacts/glasses???
If you had a kid??
N would you fail the physical if youre chest is uneven?!?
Would you fail if you smoke cigs?

My recruiter is so busy i cant even ask him.
i was trying to think of other things that would disqualify women from joining.
Additional Details
im in a hurry so sorry i didnt edit all these red-linded words but anyways, i went to meet with him the day i got my tattoo n he said that i could take the pre-test n by the time my tat healed, i would be ready to take the real test. so i havent signed any papers or anything yet. he gave me a packet of the jobs they need people in n websites i could go to n all this stuff. im pretty much set (except that i need lots of help in math) but i wear contacts n i smoke, i just dont wanna take the test n get a tutor for math if i fail my physical or whatever -.-

im really excited n i cant wait to sign up because i heard its a long wait period. 8 months or so?

Not being physically fit or meeting height to weight standards.

Felonies on your record (that you might of forgot about)

Not passing your ged, or high school deploma (the miltary if young enough will help you take your highschool diploma)

And any under any article that has to do with conduct

<_< contacts no they can prescribe you glasses
I have a child and i couldnt go active duty because im a single parent but if your married its fine otherwise try the reserve.
Not sure if you would fail if your chest was uneven i mean as long as it doesnt present a medical problem really.
Smoking isnt really encouraged but best to quit before basic training because you will not be allowed any kind of tabbaco parephnelia in bootcamp which is 8 and a half weeks.
Also being pregnant would disqualify you.
Tons of speeding tickets will also.
Any type of illegal drug use.
Ashthma.
Tons of amounted Debt also.

Hope that helps.

There is limit on how bad your vision can be, but unless you're practically blind you're alright

Having a kid may if you have custody. However if you're married to a civilian or give up custody for the length of your first term to someone else you may be alright. The major problem the military was having is that people were enlisting with kids and didn't have a care plan for them if they were deployed so it was causing problems.

Again, it depends on how lopsided you are.

It would be better if you quit. You aren't allowed to smoke during basic training and they make it difficult to smoke most everywhere else. Quit anyway. I smoked for 40 years and now I have to use oxygen all the time.

Here's a couple of links for medical and other disqualifications and questions to ask the recruiter. Good luck.

Drug abuse, too many traffic tickets, being a single mom, being way over weight,...basically anything that a guy can get disqualified for too.

The recruiter isn't that busy so please ask him. Those conditions will not keep you out.

I know eyesight is very important. My dad couldn't join because he wore glasses. I don't know if they let u join if you've had lasik surgery either because it messes with your nigh vision and sometimes you see halos. The planes u fly cost millions of dollars - they can't take a chance that you're gonna crash one.

Above is a link to medical disqualifiers that apply to all folks wanting to enlist in any branch. There are some things there specific to women (GYN-type stuff).

The Air Force (and other branches) won't allow you to enlist if you are a single parent. There used to be a way for a single parent to enlist by signing away custody of your child...I don't know if this is allowed anymore though.

Smoking is not a DQ. I don't know what you mean by "chest uneven." It may depend on the cause. But if you pass the physical at MEPS, then you should be good to go. MEPS is pretty much the final say as far as whether you are physically qualified. Plenty of people enlist who wear glasses or contacts, though while at Basic you will wear standard issue glasses and not contacts.

Finally, your recruiter is there on the taxpayer's dime to answer questions for you. Be persistent. The Air Force is not hard up for recruits right now, so it seems like the burden is on you rather than the recruiters to get you on board. Good luck to you.

None of those are a DQ.

When you filled out your application, your recruiter should have told you if their was any issues.
