would you report this or not?

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AkreItjz8sLSm3sUW17_th_sy6IX?qid=20060730014723AAb8MbH

the following is a link to a yahoo "question" posted yesterday. it is a direct THREAT against my husband.
YES ive reported it. has yahoo done anything? No...and WHY? ive seen some ppl get banned or reported for using the word Hell...or telling someone to "shut up". but THIS takes the cake as far as violence and hatered is concerned!
wouldn't you be upset?
my hubby (whether he supports this "war" or not) signed on that dotted line, and as such is doing his job. he may not like it, i know i HATE it.
but what give this guy the right to make a comment like this and not be accountable for his actons that SO obviously violate the Y!A code of conduct and rules.?
Additional Details
i have written yahoo...at length..and SERVERAL times. they are just not listening.

NO,I will not.

I think you did the correct thing with the way you have posted your question. Now people can help out your cause by reporting this person for violating the community guidelines. I agree, the question should be removed because it ENCOURAGES people to hatred & violence toward your husband & all that support the war effort. It will be interesting to see what happens. Unfortunately, the asker of that question did not directly make a threat, however they implied & encouraged it, so they should be reported for this.

I'm guessing that the reason this question hasn't been removed is in order to allow people to see the responses. I think the responders have expressed clearly their feeling that the guy will get no support from anyone whether they are in favor of the war or not. I think it's good to let this individual see what people think of him and his cruel, thoughtless question. Maybe this will be an example to others who want to stir up negativity and hatred.

Stephanie
I MADE SURE TO REPORT HIM AND ALSO TELL YAHOO WHAT I THOUGHT ABOUT THEM FOR ALLOWING HIM TO STILL BE APART OF THIS WEBSITE.

OOPS! I'M STILL YELLING...

Sorry about that! :o)

GOD BLESS AMERICA & GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!!!!!

Me
I don't think yahoo has a very good system for banning or removing questions. I have seen alot of inappropriate posts and they are never removed. I don't think the person who posted it is actually going to harm your husband... people talk big when they are behind a computer. Good luck getting the "question" removed.

As much as that disgust me, and I fully support our military. This person does have a freedom of speech and his complete ignorance aside, he has the right to say whatever he wants. As far as Yahoo doing anything, they risk impeding on this persons right to free speech (something your husband is fighting to protect) So to drop to his level, is sad. That he wants to make comments like that speaks enough for his character, let your response speak for yours.

They won't do anything UNLESS this person threatens to kill your husband HIMSELF (who ever this person was). I know he said he hopes he gets killed in the war, and that is a terrible thing to say, and he shouldn't have said that, but they won't do anything about that.

As far as Yahoo and this site, I doubt that any live body reads any "reporting". Can you imagine the staff?

It 's done by software and counts. Everything is automated.

I doubt that can be construed as a direct threat. Hate is very common here. As so much is displayed all over this world.

I tip my hat to your husband. If I were young enough, I'd be at his side.
So much bad info, so many omissions.

Records were found in Iraq that they had planned to export perfume to the US, with biological WMDs.

You are taking this whole forum too seriously. It thrives on being a haven for idiots. It also thrives on offering idiots up for lunch. So guess what? It needs all the idiots it can get. Just chew this one up and spit it out.

Welcome to the INTERNET!!! Where no one is who they seem to be and accountability doesn't exist! If you cant handle that, then GET OFF LINE!!!

Ameri-girls
They don't know your husband's name do they?

There are too many weird questions in here AND too many terrorists.

I wish we had the option to log into an American Answers only.

Unfortunately, those people are a reality here in Yahoo!

Don't mind that insignificant worm, there are more people here who don't share that person's mindset (assuming he's got a mind to begin with). Peace on to you and safe return for your husband.

I didn't follow the link because people are way too interested in retribution these days.

This sight is about opinons. Nothing else.

Tolerance can be learned.

If you post something on a controversial topic you have to expect less than satisfactory answers.

loveblue
Heck yea, I would have reported that. That was a horrible thing to post.

I think the thing about the war in Iraq is that when people say they are against it, people jump all over their cases, screaming that people who oppose the war don't support the troops. That couldn't be further from the case.

Hon, don't even trip about the person that did that post. People who do things like that have to be pretty unhappy with themselves. And don't give up on Yahoo not "doing anything". It's the weekend, after all. That post is way over the line and I'm sure it will be addressed.

My prayers to you, your husband and your families as you await his return.

mike L
Well thats the freedom of speech i guess that hes fighting for . What goes around comes around for him.. godspeed your hubbys safe fast return.

tina m
Whoa! That's kind of scary. And yes, I would definitely report it.

I don't support the war, but I don't wish death on anyone either.

It's not legally a threat. It is cruel, in poor taste, deliberately provocative, but not a threat.

Report merrily away, but don't injure your case with exaggeration.

clarabelle
It is disgusting. Report it again. But this time write a real letter to the Yahoo corporate offices. Probably leftists run the site. It's likely. Aren't they in California?
