Average cost to replace brakes and rotors on a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer?

You shouldn't have to replace the rotors on a 2003 trailblazer. More than likely, they will only need to be resurfaced, so that they are true (parallel within .002")
Autozone brake parts are complete trash, I wouldn't send my enemies there to buy brakes. I work for Chevrolet, and yes I know the dealerships parts cost is sometimes higher, but many dealerships, including mine now offer "menu pricing" on brake jobs. At most Chevy dealers, you can get a front brake job from 99.00 to about 150.00, depending on which specials they are running. Rear brakes will usually run near to the same cost. These prices INCLUDE labor. I do not advise you to attempt this on your own, unless you are well-versed in brake repairs. Most customers that I have done four wheel brake jobs on [trailblazers] pay about $250.00 plus tax altogether. That's not bad, plus you have the peace of mind that the job is guaranteed for at least 12 months/12,000 miles -parts and labor.

Assuming you are doing this yourself:

Brakes(assuming you meant brake pads) Front pads are anywhere from $24.99 to $52.99/axle. and Rear pads are anywhere from $19.99 to $53.99.(these are sold in pairs so you only buy "two".)

Rotors are anywhere from $64.99 to $245.99/each for front and anywhere from $77.99 to $93.99/each for rear(you will have to buy two each for a total of four)

Now, If you want to have this done at a shop, you can bank on paying atleast 1.5 times the price listed above just for parts and who knows about labor. That is where it gets real tricky. For brake jobs, the mechanic shouldn't charge more that $40-$50/hour. But that can vary dramatically.
