If you drive too slow, that you are a hazard,,yep..you could get a ticket |

If it is safe to do so then you should be doing the limit! |

Actually, from someone who knows. My ex got pulled over and issued his first ticket for driving too slow. He was doing 42 in a 55. Go figure! |

...on highways everywhere in the US it is illegal to drive less that 45 without your hazard lights on... but other than that...no it is not illegal |

Yes, you can be cited for driving too slowly. If you're afraid to drive on the Interstates and freeways, then stay off them! |

In the state of Florida it is illegal to drive lower than the posted speed in the left hand lane of the interstate or highway...... |

No. If there is no minimum speed posted, there is no problem unless it results in a crash.
You're not a little blue haired lady in a Cadillac, are you? |

My father-in-law actually got pulled over because he was driving 50 in the fast lane. No ticket but he did get a warning.
So Yes. It is unsafe and it forces people to go around you whether it's safe to pass or not. |

It depends on how slow you're going. If you're driving 30 MPH in a zone that is 55 MPH, you probably could get a ticket for holding up traffic or something.
But the speed limit sign just means you can't go over that number. I would say only go ten miles under the speed limit at the most, unless there's bad weather or something and you need to go slower. |

If there is no other traffic on the roadway you may travel as far under the speed limit as you desire. You may draw the attention of the authorities who WILL stop you to ask why.
However, if you are impeding the NORMAL FLOW of traffic you WILL be cited for doing so.
There was a case in 'cottage country' here a few years back. A local resident who was miffed at Weekend Warriors speeding up 'his' road started up the road at the exact speed limit until he had 10-12 cars lined up behind his vehicle. Someone used their cell phone to contact the Police and he was pulled over and ticketed for blocking traffic (even though he was doing the speed limit) - and he WAS found guilty.
Most jurisdictions do not indicate a minimum road speed on their signage. They expect that an individual will exercise common reason to determine their 'best speed'. And if they cannot do that - then they should surrender their driver's license. |

25 states have posted minimum speeds on their interstates. Common numbers are 40 mph, 45 mph & 55 mph. Lacking any posted minimums, I would suggest you drive no slower that 80%-90% of the posted limit. Any slower and you could be a hazard to yourself and others and draw the attention of the police to yourself. People who are impaired drive slower than the speed limit thinking they won't get pulled over for speeding. That is one of several signals police use to suspect impaired driving.
I remember driving through TN 35 years ago. They had minimum speed limits posted on I-40. I don't know if they still exist. |

Traveling at a speed so low that it impedes the normal flow of traffic is against the law and you can receive a ticket for it regardless of whether or not a minimum speed limit sign is posted. The statutes, allow local jurisdictions to post minimum speeds but do not require minimum speed limit signs.
In Florida, the minimum speed on interstates is 40 mph except in those areas where the speed limit on the interstate is 70 mph, then the minimum speed is 50 mph.
The Florida statute (similar to statutes in all 50 states) reads as follows:
Title XXIII
Chapter 316
STATE UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL
316.183 (5) No person shall drive a motor vehicle at such a slow speed as to impede or block the normal and reasonable movement of traffic, except when reduced speed is necessary for safe operation or in compliance with law. |
