can my 7 year old sit in front passenger seat in a booster?
Find answers to your legal question.

can my 7 year old sit in front passenger seat in a booster?

i am only going to be driving to school and back which is only ten minutes, i have a 4 year old and a 7 week old too. there is no airbag in the front of my car can any of them travel in the front?

It is ILLEGAL for anyone under 13 years old to sit in the front of a vehicle - even with a booster seat/cushion.

No, children must be placed in the boot.

It is highly preferable for all your children to sit in the back but one can sit in the front if they have to. I would suggest the booster seat and put the passenger seat as far back as you can. It helps that their is no airbag as that is why it is so dangerous. I have to put my son in the front seat if I drive my truck. He's 15 months right now. I put seat all the way back and their is no airbag. Since people say to not use the booster seat I will point out that the reason you should use one is so they are taller and the shoulder belt actually fits. Please use a booster sit if it all possible until the child is 4'9!

If there is no airbag, I think that would be okay to have them up front with you. I would say dump the booster seat and have them act like an adult.

I'm guessing it depends the state but most states I believe, has it set at 12 years old.

The law requires all children travelling in cars to use the correct child restraint until they are either 135 cm in height or the age of 12 (which ever they reach first) . After this they must use an adult seat belt. There are very few exceptions, and the main ones are set out below. It is the driver's responsibility to ensure that children under the age of 14 years are restrained correctly in accordance with the law. Children up to 3 years old In the Front Seat The child MUST use the correct child restraint. It is illegal to carry a child in a rear-facing child seat in the front, which is protected by an active frontal airbag. In the Rear Seat The child MUST use the correct child restraint. In a licensed taxi or licensed hire car, if a child restraint is not available then the child may travel unrestrained in the rear. This is the only exception for children under 3, and has been introduced for practical rather than safety reasons. You should always think about ways to make sure that a child seat is available. It is the driver's legal responsibility to ensure that the child is correctly restrained.
