how old is the argument on drink driving?

as in the debate on the moralities of drink driving... i'm doing an essay for jurisprudence legal studies *headdesk* i know you shouldnt drink drive. just how long have people been arguing about it... thanks UCANTCME! at least someone out there took the question seriously

Back before the days of automobiles you went out, got drunk, crawled onto your horse and the horse got you safely home. Soon after the car was invented someone got drunk and crashed. Laws punishing driving under the influence of alcohol were then passed. There is no argument about it. Drunk driving is harmful to society and has been illegal for almost as long as the automobile itself.

i'm not quite sure what your question is asking but if you're asking how old you have to be to drink and drive....??? there is no argument there, no one should drink and drive at any age, it's all one sided, there is no for or against driving under the influence...
