I just met my first father today for the first time!?

I have been sooo nervous and excited this week. It was not like the TV shows, of running into each others arms or crying bucket load of tears? It was great to see him, but there was no 'connection'....is this normal? We talked and talked and he has filled in the missing pieces of my life, i feel closure and he has been honest and very nice and we both said how we are glad to have finally met, but where from here? i really do not know what to do next, he leaves in two days time, 9 hours away.

Just start talking. Ever sat next to someone on a L-O-N-G plane ride? You both know you've got hours to go, so you just start having pleasant conversation...it helps to pass the time...and by the end of the flight you have a sense that you sort of know that person. I know it IS harder than that in reunion, but once you get past the first dramatic moments and some of the important questions, you just have to start getting to know each other just like any other strangers that get thrown together. Good luck.

ARE YOU ADOPTED IF YES THEN TRY TO GO WITH HIM WHEN HE IS LEAVING AND LIKE STAY WITH HIM FOR A FEW DAYS AND THEN TELL ME HOW U FEEL! GOOD LUCK!!!

Email, write letters, continue talking. One meeting is not enough time to sum everything up. All relationships take time. Don't worry about feeling a "connection" - because that usually happens later and comes as a hard slap - unexpected - amazing - upsetting - joyful ... roller coaster.
