You need proper photo identification to travel, board an aircraft, etc. If you are not a US citizen, you must have a current valid passport from your country of citizenship, plus your visa, green card or proof you are currently legally present in the US. If you do not have proper ID, you will be denied boarding. If you are not a citizen and lack proper proof of valid visa/green card, the airlines have to turn you over to immigration authorities. You would be deported if not legally present.
If you are not legally present, and your parents have been covering it up, lying to you, whatever, it is all going to come out now. Lots of illegal alien parents of illegal alien children try to cover it up and get away with it, thinking they'll be able to pass off their kid as a "citizen." As you can see, this 'ain't gonna happen.'
Make sure your parents are being straight with you. If there are any shenanigans, now is the time to find out and get back to your own country so that your parents' illegal acts are not held against you, and eventually you might have a chance to return legally. So get on your parents right now and ask whether they have your passport, visa, and everything all up to date because you need it all now. Either they produce your proper documentation so you can go on your school trip and everybody is happy, or the proverbial you-know hits the fan. |

No, as long as you are traveling within the US, you don't need a passport. You may need your driver's license or some other form of government ID to board an airplane. |

Depends on whether or not your a us citizen. If you are, then you won't need a passport to travel to different states in the US. If you not a citizen then you will most likely need it, or your visa may work |
