As a Law Enforcement Officer in Australia, I can tell you this very accurately because I have arrested dozens like you.
Apart from the fact that you will be caught, Australia has legislated that there will no longer be any Immigration Amnesties. This came about from the last one where they anticipated numbers in the hundreds, but turned out to be numbers in the thousands.
refer to this public media release. http://www.immi.gov.au/media/letters/letters03/chinese-daily-0606.htm
You have now but only two choices.... surrender to an Immigration office and receive deportation, the opportunity to buy your own ticket out, but have the chance of re-entry under lawful terms at a later date. You may have to wait up to 2 years before you can reapply for entry, but an application thereafter is not automatically thought negative of, but will of course be considered in your application.
The other is keep doing what you are doing, wait until you get arrested, and you will, then get deported. Before you do that, you may have to face court for your illegal activities and failure to pay tax. You will be placed on a flight not of your choice and your home Government will be billed. Your home Government will then bill you and take that out of your wages or seize your property, subject to which is your home country. Expect the subsequent bill from your Government when you get home that is well over $10,000. You will pay all of the expenses for your deportation, including the $300 or so for each day you are held in a detention centre. That will normally be for a week at least. I know some to have been held for months. You will be locked up with Iranians, Pakistanis, Iraqis, Sri Lankans and other boat people. Hope you enjoy the evening loud Moslem prayer sessions while you are in detention.
Some countries will imprison you upon your return for the embarrassment you have caused your country. You will be escorted home by a couple very happy Immigration Officers that get a overseas holiday paid for by..... YOU. That is also billed to your Government. And they then bill you.
You will not be allowed to even apply to come back to Australia for 5 years. After 5 years, you can apply for re-entry, but you will have a big black permanent mark against you and re-entry is only likely on humanitarian grounds, if not impossible.
You might find you details also recorded on Immigration data bases in some allied countries who will also then refuse you entry.
So think about this, every police officer, taxation investigation officer and Immigration or Customs officer has the power to arrest you immediately and hold you indefinetly unless you can show on the spot documents authorising your presence in Australia. (don't forget the Citizen arrest option)
I guess you have an accent which in other words means... ""hey law enforcement officers, come check out my legal status not to be here.""
Hey and guess what.... when you logged in with your question, your IP was recorded. Since law enforcement actively monitor yahoo answers for pedophiles, crooks, druggies and illegal aliens like you, they already know what town you are in, if not what house you are living in.
Oh, and by the way... if you want to delete this question... all that does is remove it from view. It remains held invisible in the archives which law enforcement officers can still access.
So don't worry... if you do not choose the first option I suggested.... it is now only a short matter of time before Law Enforcement officers choose option 2 for you.
You my son, have just opened up a whole world of pain for yourself.

At least you were working, which is more than most who enter this country illegally do, most are recipients of the welfare train. Watch the loony left howl this down, they hate the truth with a vengeance.
Apply for refugee status as the loony left continually tell us isn't illegal but they forget to tell you it is illegal to enter Australian waters unauthorised.Dont worry about the loony left telling you to leave and apply correctly none of the boat illegals do that.
best of luck! |

Go home and do the things the right way. It might take a long time but atleast it's the right thing to do. It's people like you that make it hard for others |

So you're an illegal and now want to compound the offence by working illegally and running a very real risk of getting your employer into serious trouble for employing you! Not only illegal, but incredibly selfish too.
Each person can only get one TFN in lifetime and if you insist on continuing to break our laws, your TFN will eventually lead DIAC to your door. Don't even think of trying to use a phony TFN - all tax declarations are computer matched as a matter of course as soon as they're lodged with the ATO and you'll have them breathing down your neck. Believe me, the ATO is much more scary than DIAC - you would be looking a a prison term followed by deportation and a lifetime ban!
Don't hold your breath waiting for an amnesty - there won't be one. |
