I actually like them, the ones I have met. One electrician was great and spoke some German to me because I once lived there. But I am against MASS IMMIGRATION. I mean immigration on a scale which will quickly change the UK into something else. I have a problem with Muslims who seem not to fit into the west. The key seems to me is very small numbers not massive waves of immigrants which will definitely make Britain into a strange place for indigenous British. We have the right to reject multiculturalism |

I like all nice people.
If someone is a polish immigrant and an arsehole, then I probably won't like them.
If someone is a polish immigrant and a good person, then we'll probably get along.
My point is, of course, that whether they are from poland is neither here nor there. |

There are too many immigrants in the Uk. But I prefer the majority of Poles to the large minority of Pakistanis who simply hate us and want to kill us whilst sponging off the nation. |

well it must be said first of all (in answer to your questions):
i) they are polish
ii) they are immigrants
they all seem likeable and hard working and are well accepted, I expect many people would prefer to see more poles and less of certain other nationalities but i won't stray into that minefield of controversy |

I agree with a comment little ba made and that is the fact that unless you are native indian or celtic you are part immigrant yourself. You only have to look at the british isle's to understand that as we all speak gaelic apart from the English and terying not too sound too anti english here but they raped the world before taking countrie's and proclaiming them to be their property now the world want's something back Immigrants as you call them are in the wrong, polish people do have great work ethic's and do put the english to shame as i find the majority of them to be spoilt as they have had easy upbringing's compared to the rest of the world. therefore i believe the saying what go's around come's around England is only getting the arse as their so called identity which they do not have is being wiped out and look at england Queen is German or Austrian English patriant saint is Dutch Laungauge is latin Stem's from rome need i go on so the more polish the merrier this dull country will become |

At the moment, no.
If however I find out that one of them took a job that I was after simply because they were cheaper labour and worked for a wage I could not possibly survive on my view would change.
I would not be a happy bunny.
This is the most honest answer I can give. |

yes there are too many, BUT, they are not afraid to work like some immigrants i could mention. I USED TO RUN A BUSINESS HERE, AND I EMPLOYED POLES, ( NO ONE ELSE WANTED THE JOBS ) I FOUND THEM HONEST,CLEAN,RESPECTFUL,AND GOOD TIME KEEPERS. |

no worse than you white settlers coming up to scotland ..lol.. whats the problem with immigration.
? they dont "take our jobs" most of the time they do jobs that most folk in the UK are too lazy to do. instead they would rather sit an their butts watching jeremy kyle and sponging of the state.
i have no objection to people coming here if they are prepared to work.. i would also export most of the scum on the welfare system |

I have a problem with the lack of immigration controls, full stop. There is no need to single out Polish immigrants from any other group. My wife was of Polish extract, and my in-laws were Polish refugees from the second world war. I know from personal experience that they are generally hard working and integrate very well. However, Government immigration policy shouldn't operate on the personal level.
The point is, that imposing large scale immigration on Britain without having the decency to consult the people, is an outrage. I don't believe that it is necessary from an economic point of view because, apart from the two million or so on the unemployment register we have a further three and a half million on the benefits register that should really be on the unemployment register. Even the Government admits this.
So, I don't think that it matters whether I like them or not, because managing immigration policy shouldn't be conducted on the personal level. Goodness knows, don't we have enough problems with integration already? Moreover, there is enormous pressure on our public services. A nation state is built on shared values. Multiculturalism encourages division to the point where the country becomes an amalgam of disparate groupings. IE. No nation at all. |

I don't have a problem with Poles or any other nationality who are willing to make a contribution to the UK economy. Good luck to you all. |

The government should take the blame for this one. (Really, all of the governments since the 50`s) Forced multicutluralism with its attendant brainwashing of the young via advertising, education, media etc. The British people should not have to bear the burden of countless waves of migrants - its the working Brit who has to pay for their pristine, freshly built council homes. Never in the history of the British Isles have we had to face such a huge and unnecessary absorbtion of transient people - even past events like the Saxon or Viking invasions never amounted to more than 1% of immigrants vs indigenous people... unlike more modern times. |

I have no problem with any immigrants who come to the UK legally and work ...
Of course, I prefer that they speak English at least 70 to 80% of the time, but that's just because I don't speak any Polish... :)

Let's see...on my father's side, three of my great-grandparents immigrated here legally from Poland, and one from Belarus.
I don't mind so long as they're here legally. |

They are hard working and do work that you wouldn't even consider doing....they could teach our dole scroungers a thing or too about hard work! |

In the eighties, when we were in a depression, a lot of Brits went abroad to places like Germany to work. The Poles are just doing the same thing. People have always travelled to find work, if they had the enterprise to do so. It's the way of the world. |

I don't have a problem with them, they work hard and do the jobs that keep th UK economy ticking along.
Its the people who sit on the dole or have twenty kids so they don't have to work ever again who get on my nerves. And they are probably the people who complain about the Polish knicking their jobs, evern though they don't want to work. |

What does it really matter who lives where or what nationality they are. As long as we all stick together we can make this a good country. It is also good having other cultures living here. Maybe we can learn a thing or two. |

There just the same as any other immigrants!
A few here and there isn't much of a big deal but this country is flooded with them and when they reach the small towns where the natives are crying for work its causing problems! |

Doesn't really bother me that much - they by and large do a good job for a good price and are skilled, educated individuals.
I do sympathise with those they undercut here, but sadly that's the nature of global free-marketeering and it has happened on a national - and international scale - across a multitude of industries and economies for decades.
I do think they make easy scapegoats for the "send them all back where they came from" brigade but they are here perfectly lawfully, they pay tax and they contribute to the economy, so fine.
Plus, unlike hundreds of thousands of domestic scum, they are not bleeding the Social Security budget dry with either fraudulent claims or a work-shy attitude. |
