The Sham Marriages reported on the Tele has been going on for some time now.. it is a lucrative business the services are in great demand. Introducing a Temporary bogus bride for the purpose of Cheating the Authorities and Society & is now Commanding Fees of £15000 to £20000. They can ask for such Fees and get it..Once they get British Citizenship the Fakesters set up their own scams I am sure. How else will they pay back the sharks. Our Country is drifting away from its Glorious past to wretched oblivion.The Labour party has been steering it fast towards that end for years. |

I saw that too, absolutely abysmal situation that we are now sympathising with people who are paying others to marry them for a visa. They are criminals. Not to mention the Eastern Europeans being exploited because of their relative poverty. Wonder who pays for the divorce, I bet there is a sympathy fund somewhere for people to get a free divorce.

In truth, we are not looking at a massive problem. This "54% rise" represents an increase in regstrars reporting such cases for investigation from 344 to 529. Hardly an epidemic.
This comes alongside a Law Lords ruling overturning government measures introduced in 2004, when over 3500 such marriages were investigated.
It's a non-story, possibly indicating that government measures to tighten up on immigration mechanisms are having a tiny effect.
