I am taking my license test in a few days, and the DMV says I need a picture on my permit. They took my picture and everything, but did not attach it to my permit.
Can I still take my test?!

Yes.
Your Permit is a piece of paper that you will use to drive while you are learning. It is not a Driver's License - which will have your picture on it.
If you got a Permit, you should have passed your written exam already. Now you have to get experience behind the wheel, and that is what a permit is for, (while you drive with a licensed driver) and before you take the behind the wheel test.
After logging the required number of hours behind the wheel, and driving with a Driving Instructor, you will be able to take the Behind the Wheel test. Passing that, you will then receive your Driver's License - with your picture on it.
Practice until you are confident about your driving ability. When my daughter went for her dinal test, another young man was there taking his as well. He immediately drove off the curb and nearly hit a passing car. The DMV person made him turn around, and he went over the curb going into the driveway as well. He didn't pass, and his father was a bit upset, but I don't think the young man was ready to take the behind the wheel portion of the test at that point, and he got nervous andmade mistakes. He just need more experience behind the wheel. |
